Sim

I've acquired the Mojo Mamenchisaurus!  It's quite nice and it's a Mamenchisaurus youngi, so a different species to the CollectA Mamenchisaurus hochuanensis that I already had.  It has the bizzare tail curvature known for M. youngi!  It has pads at the back of its hands which I'll need to remove, I guess using a nail clipper.

Quote from: StickyDan on July 07, 2025, 06:27:58 PMMy Torosaurus actually has asymmetric horns; the right one is shorter and blunter than the left:

I don't think it's intended to be like that; likely a production error, but a quite charming one imo.

Ha, indeed quite charming! I like these unexpected variations, and in this case especially it looks very naturalistic and believable.

Oh terror bird my beloved:

So happy CollectA is keeping my Cenozoic animal love alive. Quite a sizeable model as well! Very happy with this beaut.

AcroSauroTaurus

#6483
I've acquired the front half of the Rebor Tenontosaurus!

I won this in a lot with the Rebor Acrocanthosaurus and the rest of the Tenontosaurus. I already have one of the latter and I'm not interested in keeping the former, so if anyone is interested in buying or trading me for these, feel free to PM me  ^-^
One day we will know the truth about Spinosaurus... but not today.

PrimevalRaptor

Went back and did pick up the Borealopelta after all, it may not be perfect but until I get my hands on the CollectA one this'll be a fine enough representation of this important find (I'm honestly surprised how little it's stylized compared to other Mattel ankylosaurs/nodosaurs)
Also since it was on sale as well I picked up Papos European Robin...I picked up some other modern animals recently but this is the only one that qualifies for the dinosaur toy forum :D

Libraraptor

At first, I thought a real robin had perched on its back. :))

SidB

At last I've attained to the big three of HLG ceratopsians with my acquisition of their new Torosaurus (and it's a beauty). Left to right, Torosaurus, Triceratops and Pentaceratops/Titanosaurus:

Torosaurus in the vanguard

HLG Toro and PNSO Toro

The HLG (left) is one up on the older PNSO with its detail work on the back of the head frill, which PNSO mysteriously omitted.

I definitely prefer the non-articulated lower jaw on the HLG

SBell

Nothing major but did get the 'big 3' topper figures at the cinema!

$2 each because I don't need that much soda, and they didn't care!

(son's hand for scale I suppose)

Monkeysaurus

@ SidB

That PNSO Toro is my absolute favorite ceratopsian figure. It is expensive but totally worth it in my view

Just because I have a short attention span doesn't mean

Yes, avatar_Monkeysaurus @Monkeysaurus , it is a really hefty, super-detailed figure, a terrific representative of PNSO's craftsmanship. The HLG figure had a high ladder to climb, but I think that it's a worthy competitor.

Primeval12

I do adore the PNSO Toro. I was lucky and got mine for less than MSRP (with the baby too!). It's so beautiful.

I'm pleased to display mine, no question, but I've wrestled with the issue (for me) of the jaw articulation. I've been tempted to send it out to modify that feature, but, at the end of the day, I've decided to leave it alone and respect the approach that PNSO has taken.

Primeval12

I got this whole lot. I mostly got it for the painted Invictas (one for me, two for friends) and the old schleich! I also got a bonus Bullyland Leptonectes that was NOT pictured! Not a bad find for $90. I hope to sell most of the bycatch though!

PrimevalRaptor

That really is a great pickup, a whole lot of very nostalgic figures for me, remember being incredibly excited for the Schleich marine reptiles given how rare it was to get any non-Elasmosaurus ones back then (and the Shonisaurus is still an impressively massive figure)

BlueKrono

This is the sort of lot that will pop up for sale when I die.

Roselaar

New Jurassic movie, so there is a lot of new Jurassic toys to score! Which I did avidly the last few weeks (with about at least as much an amount of toys still en route):

Noideaforaname

Rebirth Mosasaurus... and lunch!

Ajax88

Finally caved and got the masterpiece that is the PNSO Edmontosaurus. Zabad is a beast! Stunning paint, detail work and sculpt. This thing is big too, it outweighs Eofaunas Sue 472g to 351g. If you assume Sue was ~9 tons, that's a 12 ton Edmontosaur! HLG's Shantungosaurus didn't quite hit the mark for me, and I'm glad I added its slightly smaller cousin to the herd. I hope PNSO drops a few new updated Hadrosaurs from its lineup. A new chunky Parasaurolophus and Lambeosaurus would be very welcome.
