It's quite astonishing, I think, what Haolonggood can accomplish at this price point. In hand especially, this figure is awe inspiring in its size, detail and overall quality, IMO.

I like the subtle green and pink on it too.

CityRaptor

That's a chunky fellow!
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

At an opposite extreme, in several ways, is this little fellow that I just received from an eBay source in, I believe, Quebec City. This Invicta is in mint condition, like all of the recent Invictas that I've purchased from him. I have three other Invicta Stegosaurs, but this is my first green one, kind of a classic.

Following on from the Marx dinosaurs, and raising the bar considerably, these figures certainly played a major role in establishing and feeding the collectors' appetite for quality collectibles.

Paleo Flo

I guess the colour green and the genus Stegosaurus will always fit. Even back then!
Nice acquisition S @SidB !

Thanks. avatar_Paleo Flo @Paleo Flo . It's interesting that the color green is associated with certain things, such as Stegosaurus. Then too, why do people say that so and so was "green with envy"? I could never figure that one out!

Paleo Flo

Interesting question. I think that came over the years and it's presentation in many books, movies and documentaries...I guess.

Is that from Temu? I've seen something similar there...

Yes indeed

Fembrogon

A wild Purussaurus appeared in store last week, so temptation got the better of me again.

Thought so... there's some interesting sets, more for the materiel than the animals. One even comes with recasts of some human models long since retired from Safari toobs...

I took advantage of a couple of discounts recently noted here and grabbed a couple figures off Amazon:

Recur Triceratops

PNSO white dolphin

...And I filled out the orders with some well-overdue additions to the paleo-library:

Showanna "Scotty". I have to say, I love this model. It has so much character. And the overall design and look appeals to me.

Congrats, avatar_JohannesB @JohannesB , this figure is a highlight acquisition for 2025, IMO, and I'm glad that you're really pleased with it.

Because green is also associated with sickness, it used to be common to depict sick people as green skinned, so it's like saying you are so envious about something that you've become sick and rotten from it.

Ah ha - thanks avatar_Dilopho @Dilopho , for that insight. I didn't know that, but it makes sense: sick with envy!

Roselaar

Lots of new JW/JP goodies, I've been busy!:
