Primeval12

It looks real. I now own this model since I got a killer deal on it ($15 shipped lol)

Halichoeres

I agree it looks real, just badly lit.

Be careful! Many counterfeit steppe mammoth and palaeoloxodon figures are sold on aliexpress.

Ah, that's good to know. And a real bummer.

It is not real :(

AH $@!& thanks for letting me know :(

I also got fooled by another knockoff

Monkeysaurus

The Papo suchomimus looks great but is it up to HLG or PNSO standards? I mean the quality. If so I might actually get that

I think so yes, moreover Papo has the advantage of being a lot more shock resistant. Mine endured a pretty severe fall (my curtain fell and caused a chain reaction) and it survived without a scratch.

Sculpt-wise, I would say yes—though in terms of scale, it's larger than the PNSO Suchomimus and about the size of the Papo Acrocanthosaurus.

Here's a Papo Suchomimus (I have 2) displayed alongside some PNSO Carcharodontosaurids and my only HLG figure, the Chasmosaurus, to give you an idea of the scale and detail.

Sim

I too have the Papo Suchomimus and feel its quality is like that of a PNSO or Haolonggood figure.  It's an impressive figure and I like it and the PNSO Suchomimus equally.  It's interesting how two companies produced such different and yet appealing figures of the same species.

Monkeysaurus

Thanks guys! I'm gonna get it. For some reason it isn't listed on Amazon or many other places. Papo went downhill for a while and it seems like they've found their mojo again.

crazy8wizard

Not mojo, papo. Mojo's a different company  :))

Joliezac

I love Papo's Suchomimus. I personally like the 1/25 scale a bit more than 1/35 but of course this gets trickier and more expensive with larger species. Had tons of fun photographing the Suchomimus outdoors!

Quote from: stargatedalek on July 24, 2025, 08:47:56 PMA good condition Baryonyx and Blue whale though. I don't think that's an unreasonable asking price for the lot in this condition even before the gold, so I doubt it was a conscious forgery on this listings part. Especially since the description doesn't seem to mention the golden Iguanodon specifically.
I second this. I've seen a partial golden set of the Invictas over a decade ago, here in Toronto. There was a blurb about them, I think on the DTF, version one, I vaguely recollect. Seem to remember something about Invicta  making  a number of batches of these for some special circumstance or occasion. Rather on the rare side, it seems.

The buyer just posted in the Invicta thread, it turns out the gold variant was a fake
