"you know you have a lot of prehistoric figures if you have at least twenty items per page of the prehistoric/dinosaur section on ebay." - anon.

He, he, post number 420! Brandon DeMoss's 1/20 Sinosaurus triassicus. It broke during transit, but I repaired it. I just need to touch up the chipped areas along the broken edges. This is the pic of my model that he sent me.

The sleazy underbelly of dinosaur modeling

I also commissioned Brandon to do a 1/20 Dilophosaurus. I'll send pics when I get the model.

Jason Carriere's 1/20 Armagasaurus.  Another model that broke in transit, I am repairing it now. This is the pic of my model that he sent me.

It is a very beautiful piece. I can't wait to get it fully repaired so I can truly enjoy it. I just have to reattach some of the spines and touch up the broken areas with putty and paint.

Paleogene Pals

My latest acquisition, Kaiyodo's resin dilophosaur bought from Tyrantqueen and painted by Martin. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Manatee

Hey look, another brownish-orange model! This one looks great; from what I can tell it looks like the best Dilo model out there, unless I'm missing something. The paint job really looks amazing as well.

Paleogene Pals

Yes, Martin did a stunning job. He really improved upon this piece in my opinion.

CityRaptor

Looks good, although for that model, I actually would go for the color-scheme of Nark Hallet's Dilophosaurus:
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

I can use that color scheme for Brandem's dilophosaur, a commission piece for me.

A special package arrived for me the other day...

I could not believe how big it was! The unwrapping...

Here it is...

Unwrapped...

The underside of the base. Mine is number 74.

Here are some pics showing off the paint job...

An overall pic of the critter...

Very nice work on Sideshow's part.  Cannot wait for the Apatosaurus!

Paleogene Pals

Thanks everyone! As you may have gathered, I really like my Sideshow Spino. I think that since I got one of the low-numbered pieces the paint work is pretty good. If mine was numbered 998, I could see the painting being sloppier. But, the Sideshows are masterpieces!

Blade-of-the-Moon

Very well done, congrats!

I really wish they had left off the extra rock base part..it's a big contrast to the rest of the piece and pulls your eye away, but regardless the detailing looks well copied from the original prototype. :)

Paleogene Pals

I agree. The extra rock base looks weird. I haven't really focused on it because I was so enchanted by the Spino.  ^-^

Paleogene Pals

I tell ya, when it rains it pours. I come home to find an unexpected visitor.

Shane Foulke's 1/20-scale Camarasaurus.

triceratops83

That's one nice Camarasaurus! Isn't it great to get a Foulkes sculpt in the mail?
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Paleogene Pals

Oh yeah! And this is one nice sculpt! I am very happy right now!  ;D

tyrantqueen

I have my eye on this one on eBay. It's gorgeous :)
