Questions about sauropods

I was just wondering... how did sauropods manage to sleep? I have trouble envisioning a ginormous Puertasaurus or Patagotitan having a sleep. Did they lay on the ground, did they just kept standing up?

I'm also curious to know how is it believed that some sauropods, especially the tallest ones, like Brachiosaurus, Argentinosaurus, or Atlasaurus with its unique proportions, drank

I think they did as giraffes: they don't drink very often.  Also maybe brachiosaurus can flex its arms so the head can get close to the water.

I think the one who had the biggest problem was Atlasaurus, with that short neck and such long arms. But maybe it was more flexible.

They just had to find waterfalls when they were thirsty...


Lots of animals can sleep while standing. Maybe sauropods did the same. It is hard to imagine how the really big ones could have gotten up and down.
