I don't think it's necessary to wait that long anymore.  I would just wait until suggestions stop coming for a bit..

A few more days then?

Edit: I've finally decided on mine. This was tough to pick only ten (as you'll soon see). I've decided on 5 verts, and 5 inverts, with each belonging to a different group.

Vertebrates:
1 synapsid: Marx Toys Moschops (close second: CollectA Edaphosaurus)
1 reptile: Safari Ltd Scutosaurus (close second: Mattel Jurassic World Scutosaurus)
1 amphibian: Play Visions Platyhystrix (close second: Kaiyodo Dinotales Diplocaulus)
1 tetrapodomorph: Kaiyodo Great Leaps Ichthyostega (close second: Kaiyodo Dinotales Acanthostega)
1 non-tetrapodmorph vertebrate or "fish": Ikimon Nature/Science Techni Colour Sacabambaspis (close second: Favorite Soft Model Dunkleosteus)

Invertebrates:
1 eurypterid: Kaiyodo Dinotales Eurypterus (close second: CollectA Jaekelopterus)
1 trilobite: Kaiyodo Dinotales Triarthrus (close second: Favorite Mini Model Olenoides and CollectA Redlichia tied)
1 mollusk: CollectA Orthoceras (close second: Favorite Mini Model Wiwaxia)
1 dinocaridid: Yowie Anomalocaris (close second: Favorite Mini Model Opabinia)
1 other: Medicom Tullimonstrum (close second: Safari Ltd Cambrian Life Toob Ottoia)

I've gone ahead and added the above Sacabambaspis to the list. I'm glad I remembered it now.

I also remembered the Nirvana Studio Walliserops figure, but I'm not sure it would qualify for this sort of poll.

Edit: I think I might actually go for the Favorite Mini Model Opabinia instead of the Yowie Anomalocaris, even though the latter has been my profile pic since I joined here. Absolutely need to have something from that set in my top ten now that I think about it more, and it's probably my favorite figure of the set (though I do love them all nearly equally). I would be remiss if Opabinia didn't have rep in this poll either, even I also am a fiend for Anomalocaris. Opabinia however also has far less rep out there and I think this is the best option for it still. It does in fact have the secret mouth compartment that I was unaware about for so long, for example.

As far as the others goes:

I went with the Marx Toys Moschops because it's still the best option for this animal as far as toys goes. I love using these guys in Ark too, and I knew about it before Ark because my dad loved that same toy.

Safari Scutosaurus because the detail is immaculate for such a small figure, and I had to have some rep for Scutosaurus.

I picked the Play Visions Platyhystrix as it is literally the same design as the one in one of my favorite books from my childhood. One of my earliest threads is about the book. Never thought I'd get my hands on one until someone on instagram gave me the heads up multiple complete sets were available on ebay a few years back. I almost considered sculpting one prior but depression kept me from it.

Also mentioned in the same book, though not the figure design, is Ichthyostega, a childhood favorite of mine. Never thought I'd get my hands on the Kaiyodo figure, until one year, in one particular thread, someone gave me the heads up on the listing, and I got my hands on it afterwards. I'm still very glad that figure exists, and I have it.

I went with that Sacabambaspis as I absolutely adored how it went viral recently in 2023 or 2024. It's rare to see "ostracoderms" or early jawless fishes get any attention. Similar to the above two I was introduced to "ostracoderms" in another book in the same series, so I'm drawn to them still as a result. It's also hilarious that goofy model of it has merch based on it now, even its not the most paleo accurate/up to date reconstruction.

I ultimately decided on the Kaiyodo Dinotales Eurypterus because of its importance regarding its group. The green color called to me and got the best of me too.

I went with the Kaiyodo Dinotales Triarthrus as likewise, it has a plethora of fossils, many with soft tissue, including the antennae, legs, gills, mouthparts, and sometimes even eggs. It's impressive how well the Kaiyodo Dinotales Triarthrus gets these details down, despite its age now.

I went with the CollectA Orthoceras, as despite it being a former wastebaskon dumping ground for nautiloid fossils, it literally took them in recent years to make a figure of it, along with a plethora of other prehistoric mollusks. And I have such a fossil in my collection but who knows if it is of the genus proper or a relative.

And yeah the Medicom Tullimonstrum, as I mentioned before. Maybe one day another figure of it will surface, but this oddball has at least one toy option out there, regardless of the rarity. Also helps that we can't seem to agree on what exactly it is so there's a certain charm and mystery to this oddball creature.

At least with this poll, unlike a dinosaur one, a long wait wouldn't make it immediately obsolete!

I guess I'll make the poll later today. I'll add only the ones that have been bolded so far but I'll leave the list up in the op for late comers with an other option.

I was also taking a look at my thread from the other day and I noticed the I Dig Sharks set has Orthacanthus and not Xenacanthus so I guess I should probably correct that too.

This looks fairly comprehensive for everything available for the Paleozoic. At least as far as stuff people will actually vote for so I think you're good for setting up the poll.

Sweet, I voted for the Bullyland Procynosuchus, Collecta Cooperoceras, Favorite Marella, Kaiyodo Bothriolepis, Kaiyodo Eusthenopteron, Kaiyodo Hemicyclaspis, Kaiyodo Trochosaurus, Safari Inostrancevia, Safari Scutosaurus.

This was a hard one, I really struggled to pick which Kaiyodo figures to put up. I could've easily just made this a top 10 of Kaiyodos, they're all so good!

Pachyrhinosaurus

Voted for the Bullyland Procynosuchus, Marx Moschops, Safari Estemmenosuchus, Inostrancevia, Scutosaurus, Schleich Dinogorgon, and both prehistoric shark toob figures.

I also voted "other" for the Bullyland edaphosaurus (my #1 favorite in this poll), and the Marx Sphenacodon.

I went with...

Bullyland Procynosuchus
CollectA Cooperoceras
CollectA Edaphosaurus
CollectA Jaekelopterus
Marx Moschops
PNSO Dunkleosteus
PNSO Helicoprion
Safari Estemmenosuchus
Safari Inostrancevia
Safari Scutosaurus

I nominated the Schleich Dinogorgon for the poll but had to vote for the Marx Moschops instead, it has had an impressive streak as the best-ever Moschops.

It was hard to not just vote for Kaiyodo figures but seeing as how I don't own any of these (shameful, I know) I decided to stick with figures I own or plan to own in the near future.

Faelrin

Thanks to everyone who voted so far. I find the responses and results to be interesting.

Thanks for organizing this thrilling poll !
Just submitted my vote.
