Quite a good price for something this size and looks this good. Really hope this gets funded. Off to a good start so far from the looks of it, and with the goal is much smaller then before, so this might be more feasible this time around. For anyone with questions and inexperience with supporting kickstarters, but are interested in this, I would suggest taking a look at the FAQ I compiled some time ago for the Beasts of the Mesozoic Tyrannosaur series thread here. Or feel free to ask me questions and I'll try to help out as best I can.

I'll also try to spread the word about this going live like I did with the previous campaign.

Pricing wise, it completely puts PNSO to shame.

Honestly, the fact the price is so low is exactly why I haven't backed this yet. I feel like someone forgot to carry a zero somewhere...  :o

Already over 1/4 of the way there folks, and in the first few hours it's been live. Nice to see so far! The previous campaign ended with over the total of this one's current goal, and nearly had the support of 300 backers when it ended.

Same here, the price and promised quality seem to good to be true.

Nearly halfway there to its goal already. I think it was explained in the video that they are using the same factory as the Dino Hazard Irritator used? I'll have to watch it again. I know it was stated to be PVC, and the figure and base would be packaged in a box like the Dino Hazard Irritator. I recall they stated they dropped the articulated jaw because they weren't satisfied with how it worked, which in turn dropped the cost of production some.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the previous campaign (which also had a much higher funding goal), you can see how the funds would have been used. I'm surprised it wasn't added this time around though.

Checking both campaigns, I can see that the total number of painted figures produced has dropped has dropped as well, which likely dropped production costs. I think I'll ask because I am curious.

Looking at the current funding goal, I simply don't understand how molds can be produced and a factory paid all for under $16,000. That's one heck of a deal he's getting. I'm not saying he's trying to pull one over on people at all - I'm just a little concerned he's bitten off more than he can chew.  :-\

Fembrogon

My pledge is in as well. I'm glad to see the campaign is off to a much better start this time; hopefully they have smooth sailing from here on.

Duna

BAACKED too!  ^-^

That's the spinosaurus I was waiting for, and I love the paint design by Raul Ramos.

The unpainted costs as much as the painted? Seems rather odd.

Now that you mention it, yes that is strange. From a business point of view, wouldn't one expect the painted one to be a few tens of USD more expensive?

Of course. And I see very few people have opted for the unpainted option.

Certainly, for that kind of money, the paint job can certainly not be as good as the one on the prototype? But if it is only 'half' as good, I think we can be happy.

Okay so checking it again I see a project budget has been added now.

Here's a quick English recap of it below:

12,050 euro's for Making, further broken down into:

9,500 euro's for (according to google translate) "prototyping", and 2,550 euro's for production. That does seems a bit odd to me, but that may be from a poor translation. The previous campaign had 21% (and directly in English this time) towards the creation of the steel mold, and 17% towards production. The previous kickstarter's goal was 45,600 euro's. 21% of that should be 9,576 euro's, if my math is correct. So that seems roughly comparable to the amount of this year's campaign (give or take fluctuating currencies and conversion rates). 17% of 45,600 should be 7,752. That's much more then this year's production total. So perhaps by producing less units then before they will need less for production? I'm not entirely sure.

Moving on, 2,811 is going towards taxes and fees (such as kickstarter and customs, etc I'm guessing). Last year's campaign put this at 32%, which would be 14,592 of the previous 45,600 total. That seems quite a large drop from before.

560 is for fulfilling. Last year's campaign had that at 30%, which would be 13,680 which is another massive drop compared to the total needed now.

Good thing I looked into all of this before asking about it. Think I'll go ask now after I get dinner made, but anyone else with concerns or questions should feel free to reach out. You could always just pledge for a $1 or whatever is cheapest to have access to the kickstarter comments and cancel your pledge if the answer(s) are not satisfactory.

LBDINO

How will it look with the new rebor t rex? I know rebor tends to be bigger then the 1/35 scale they claim. I know that dino hazard figure ended up being bigger then expected

Carnoking

Fingers crossed it'll happen this time around. Such a lovely figure deserves to be made!
