Seems to be pretty large, and aside from the missing head and neck, otherwise has decent remains, which is rather lucky comparing it to most of its rather fragmentary relatives.

Here's an article describing the remains:

I can only imagine what it must have been like in the Cretaceous to look up in the skies and see all these supergiant pterosaurs flying overhead. What a sight!

Dynomikegojira

Another species that missed out on being in Prehistoric Planet which is part of the the reason I would like to see at least one more season set in the Masstricthian if we get one.

In Prehistoric Planet's defense, we've already seen Phosphatodraco, Quetzalcoatlus, and the unnamed genus from Episode 2; so it's not like the show is hurting for azhdarchids, at least.

Oh no not a criticism of Prehistoric Planet I'm just saying that it's unfortunate that animals like this, Maip and Steguros were found after production was already underway so I would like to see those animals in a second season.

Glad to know that theropod workers don't have a monopoly on corny, high-school-death-metal-band names.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Can discussion of Prehistoric Planet be kept in its thread so spoilers don't appear in other threads one is trying to avoid?

Ha! I thought it sounded like a comic book villain from the 90s X-TREME!!! era. Also, it's less-than-mellifluous. The classy move would have been to drop the terminal 's' in thanatos and elide the words to Thanatodrakon.

Still better than Eiectus. Or Megapnosaurus, for that matter.
