Targets in my area don't carry Attack Pack sized dinos, avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin, and Walmarts are clogged with Coelurus/Dimetrodon. And I mean CLOGGED. We're talking several dozens of them just sitting there, with no space for anything else. It's hilarious. I only ever lucked out finding other species at my local Fred Meyer, and very very sporadically, with extremely limited numbers. If you didn't get it then, you'd never see it again. I doubt I'll see the newer animals there. And I'm definitely going to check out Best Buy.

As for the later waves of Battle Damage stuff, everything I own I got on evilbay and from other countries. I'm only missing 10 or so pre-Dominion things, and that Proceratosaur is one of them.

I hope that's just the first wave, The Rex sounds interesting, I want to see how they do it, the design and all. I expect similar to the Mosasaur.

The rest sound like a way to move existing product? Put one new item/desirable in with a set.

Faelrin

I imagine those will probably all be easy passes for me, unless they do a good job with getting the paint apps accurate (doubting considering recent figures). Really don't need a third Grant, etc.

In any case I'll get those added to the op. At least the Scutosaurus seems to be getting a re-release even if tied to another Explorer. I do wonder if it will have a standalone release in the Savage Strike (or whatever its been renamed into) line of figures?

Another real feel figure after so long is intriguing. Always thought it was a semi-failed experiment tha Mattelhad no interesting in expanding upon considering only one figure was ever done with rubber.

Gwangi

Intrigued by the T. rex but I'm pretty sure I'm done with JP T. rex toys, unless I find the Kenner Bull.

suspsy

Rather insidious of Mattel to release a second Scutosaurus, but to package it with a vehicle.

Very exciting. I'm still looking for a scutosaurus, so if it ends up looking more like the Kenner one, being that it's a 30th anniversary figure, I'll be very pleased. Especially if we end up getting the other car. The others look promising as well. I'm expecting the rex to have film-accurate paint, but could you imagine it coming out in red...

Well the descriptions sound interesting..

suspsy

So . . . the Bistahieversor seriously comes with giant quills on its back that open and close?

Mattel really is going the same way as Hasbro did.

I would say the same way Kenner did, it's just an add on action feature for kids. Their take on a Ingen or Biosyn dinosaur no different than a frilled Dilophosaurus. Is it kinda stupid? Yes. Will kids like it? Who knows. It is a rather plain and boring species and by that I mean it wouldn't really stick out on a toy shelf as it really is.

Faelrin

Friend in Germany found this and sent this link to me. New mainline T. rex. Price is a bit absurd atm. Not in stock either. Another easy pass from me.

Yeah not feeling that one either.  I get it they need a TREX on the shelf. They really need a movie or a series to carry these lines though.

Zero paint. We've truly reached Hasbro levels.

suspsy

Meh. Sure would be nice if Mattel went with any colour other than brown for a change. It's not like kids wouldn't be able to tell what dinosaur it is.

Yeah, no thanks. I'll stick with the stomp n' escape.
Hopefully the I-rex Looks good cuz I missed out on the others and I am SICK of my Hasbro one.

No. Not even close. The paint is bland, but the sculpt is still leagues ahead of Hasbro. Mattel gave the collectors their T. rex, why would anyone pay attention to the rest? These are for kids!

Do we need reminders? Have people really forgotten?
