Thanks! Just looking for armor for my Silver Fang now. If these ever go on sale I may pick up a few more for customs. I need a couple female werewolves to round out the pack. Mari the Black Fury would be a fun one to make.

So I just caught wind of the next Altered Beast figure released a few months ago. I was actually just curious if Jakks Pacific had released another wave for their Sega Genesis Classics line, and they did:

https://www.toyark.com/2024/10/23/altered-beast-weredragon-and-streets-of-rage-roo-now-available-online-549078#images

Sold out on Walmart's website, and going for nearly $40 on ebay. Might check my local Walmart for this one, but I might go for it on ebay too just in case. In any case, I'm really glad they did this one too. Was always my favorite form in the game after wolf (which is also still available, on Amazon at least).

I think they did a decent enough job with the sculpt matching the in game sprite, and transformation portrait. Maybe the original arcade cabinet art as well.

Here's a video of the second level or stage that you get to use it in:

That's interesting reminds me of Mortal Kombat's animality.

Quote from: Blade-of-the-Moon on November 09, 2024, 06:18:03 AMSo Four Horsemen hit us with some cool stuff today, one HUGE announcment too I'm all for.

First we have a Gnoll sort of a werewolf/werehyena looking creature I like.

https://sourcehorsemen.com/mythic-legions/entry/mwindajji-the-cackler

The last one..man I can't even believe we are getting this!

Mythic Legions: Beyithirr the Green Dragon 1/12th Scale Figure from Four Horsemen. Beyithirr the Green Dragon, measures well over 3-feet long from the tip of his nose to his fully extended tail and 22" from the bottom of his feet to the tip of his wings! Preorder opens in January 2025. Announced today at Legions Con 2024, Mythic Legions: Beyithirr the Green Dragon, a fully articulated, 1:12-scale Beast measures well over 3-feet long from the tip of his nose to his fully extended tail and 22" from the bottom of his feet to the tip of his wings! Preorder opens in January 2025. Also of note, Four Horsemen have created an accessory set that comes with a second neck, head in a "fire breathing" pose, a gigantic flame breath effect and a pair of fully extended wings!

Pre-orders will only be on StoreHorsemen, starting in January 2025 as they will not be making extras for sale through any of their retail partners or at shows. A minimum amount is needed to move forward with production.

Four Horseman finally gave us more details on the dragon :
QuoteTHE ORDER OF BEYITHIRR RISES - 03/07/25
The Beyithirr dragon campaign is nearly upon us, and the Realm of Mythoss (and toy collections worldwide) will never be the same again!
A few pieces of information we know everyone has eagerly been waiting on are the price of the dragon, what the funding goal will be to ensure Beyithirr is produced, and how long the campaign will run for. Here are some answers:
The Beyithirr dragon figure will be $550 during this campaign (plus shipping and taxes where applicable).
The minimum order number needed to move this figure into production is 2000 units, but that is just the beginning. We have some amazing stretch goal additions that open up at higher levels once that minimum is met!
The campaign will run for 1 month and it will start on Friday, March 7, 2025.
We have worked very hard to set this campaign up for success. Beyithirr is easily the most ambitious project we have ever worked on, but we have worked with our factory in order to make this incredible figure as affordable as possible and to establish a relatively low funding goal for Beyithirr's production.
We have lots more information to share between now and the start of the campaign, including a look at the amazing stretch goals that will be added if certain order threshholds are met! More details on those to come.
If you want to add the Mythic Legions dragon to your collection, we ask for your support starting on 03/07/25 as the Order of Beyithirr rises and dragons fly in the skies of Mythoss once again!

I definitely want to get one, I hope it's like a Kickstarter and payment isn't due til the fundraiser ends. Too much coming out right now.

Shane

I think I guessed it would be $600 so I guess I'm pleasantly surprised it's slightly less. It's amazing, but do I have the space? The funds? Remains to be seen.

In the past Four Horsemen have done Kickstarters, in fact it's how Mythic Legions started, so hopefully that's the route.

stargatedalek

I hope it's anything but kickstarter. Kickstarter doesn't support Paypal or integrated international shipping costs. If it's Kickstarter I am SOL unless it gets funded and they release it on their website.

If you want I can pledge for two and you just send me the funds for it? When it's released ( probably late 2025) I can ship to you then?

For what it's worth, it seems likely that if this gets funded, it will be released in some other form outside of the Kickstarter down the road. Either in a repainted or retooled form, but if they manage to recoup their mold costs on this, there's no way they don't keep using it to make more dragons.

Very welcome. I'm sure they make more dragons if this all works out. Lots of great options for them too.

Toyark has some coverage of Toy Fair. The NECA Horror stuff had the new Howling werewolf on display along with many other things that might be of interest.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Neca's looks pretty good. I just received my Syndicate Howling figure last night, I'll pop it open today and post some pics later.

I recently got into watching What We Do in the Shadows thanks to Hulu tease on my Disney+ account..then they pulled it when I got to season 5 darn them. Fun show but not enough for me to buy toys of unless they made a werewolf..with squeaky bone lol

Love the Ben Cooper figures, I have a many of them but have skipped the new license ones. I will have to get Godzilla though. They need to make the dinosaur costume one I had as a kid. ;)

I will pick up the Masque of the Red Death figure for sure, my new Mummy shipped from BBTS last week. Preordered Bruce on BBTS last night.  Might grab the This Island Earth alien for my retro scifi collection.

So Neca will be getting a few bucks from me again this year but it does feel like have slowed down?  They are still working with Disney I saw some new Stitch figures but no Gargoyles or DINOSAURS unfortunately.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Syndicate Howling figure. This is actually a pretty awesome toy with I'm betting more posing options than the typically weak jointed Neca figures. You will need a stand to display him permenatly regardless, the joints just can't do it long term.  I found I actually like him with the grinning head more, seems to have a lot of bad guy personality. I went ahead and ordered a 2nd one so I can use them as evil Black Spiral Dancers in my WtA figure displays. They just have that look lol being tailless it helps them with a mutant look too.  If they had a tail option and due to the much more slender design compared to the other werewolf figures you could almost use these as females as well?

NECA seems to be devoting increasing resources to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles every year, even as it mines deeper and deeper into the TMNT well. Based on ToyFair it seems like now they're going for conceptual designs that never appeared in cartoon or movie (like the "movie style" Bebop and Rocksteady and the robotic Tokka and Rahzar).

I get that TMNT helps fund other lines and I have a large amount of their TMNT product myself, but even I find myself saying "enough already" particularly when it comes at the seeming expense of other lines.

NECA has a habit of jumping into licenses that seem dead on arrival, lasting a few waves and then petering out into nothing. Back to the Future, Dinosaurs, Gargoyles, and many more just seem to exist for a while before being unceremoniously abandoned. I've heard rumors that even the remaining Gargoyles figures that have been shown off in the past like Coldstone and Macbeth won't be seeing a release.

I'm excited but skeptical about the new Jaws figures...I'm not one of the people that need a 3 foot long Bruce figure, this "game" style of release is fine for me, but my main concern is the lack of Brody...they still apparently haven't worked out the licensing with Scheider's estate, which makes me think that beyond these initial Ultimates, we might not get much else and be stuck with yet another frustratingly incomplete shelf of figures.

The Ben Cooper kids are neat, and I own a bunch myself, but it definitely feels like they're stretching this one WAYYY thin, and I can see why - minimal tooling, all you need to worry about is a new print on the smock and a new sculpted mask. It's easy money. But it feels like it'll go the same route as TMNT - deeper and deeper cuts until most people lose interest and only the hardest of hardcore fans remain.

I haven't seen a lot of discussion about the Ultimate Metaluna Mutant but that's an exciting one.

I wish Playmates would rerelease more classic toys from the original toyline. I've acquired the Storage Shell turtles, Movie Shredder, Slash, and Mutagen Man, but I'd love it if we got Dirtbag, Groundchuck, Triceraton, and Hothead.

Oh, and also this dino-themed dude right here:

I wasn't into TMNT as much as my brother was though I did enjoy the cartoon and original live action movies.  The Pizza monster aliens, film versions of Tokka and Razar, and the Triceratons are all ones I have. But they are way too far into it for me really.  I don't even buy all the Aliens and Predator figures and I collected all those comics.

I figured it might be like Gremlins and every few years a new one would appear. Might have to rely on Mondo to get the others if it goes that far. I'm getting their animated Ghostbusters line and I'm tempted by the new Street Shark they just announced.

I preordered this Bruce, I don't have a "Jaws" shark in my collection. So this will do.

The Ben Cooper sets are pretty cool and less expensive, but I'm only getting certain ones. This wave Godzilla, Jaws, and the Planete of the Apes is all I really want. I have enough now to populate a neighborhood lol  They need to release a Halloween house playset with an adult or two to hand out candy. ;)

I've actually only ever seen bits and piece of This Island Earth, need to watch the whole thing. This figure is very classic retro scifi though, just ordered one from BBTS : https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/308264?o=1

I think I'm more into NECA's TMNT than most, I have several shelves of movie, cartoon and comic based figures, I have several versions of the core four turtles, and really only one or two of the new things they've shown are appealing to me. Maybe the new toon Shredder.

It just really seems they're scraping the bottom of the barrel. I'm glad they're still doing classic horror and sci-fi with the Mutant and others, and I suppose folks are excited for Terrifier (though that's very much not for me). But I'd like to see them throw a bone to their Dinosaur and Gargoyle lines, maybe like they do for Gremlins. At least release what we've already seen promos of.

it's a great line to collect, you'll never starve unless it's literally trying to get them all. lol  The Monster Turtles line seems to be popular too though as a good crossover with monster and TMNT collectors.

I just received Ardath Bey yesterday from BBTS and I also have the Hammer Van Helsing on order. I haven't opened any of these figures yet, I bought the playsets and planned too then it just grew so fast I didn't have room.   I had fun collecting the Gargoyles, I bought two of each, displayed them  on the Neca city scape playset just a lot of fun.  I have all the gremlins too that['s a fun line to collect and customize as well. Unless they lost the license I don't see why they can't release them eventually.  We finally received the tattoo gremlin after YEARS of seeing a prototype. I did notice they did a Sesame Street line which still ties into Henson like the DINOSAURS did.  If they had a general Henson classics line and Dinosaurs were released under that I wouldn't be so sad they aren't making more.  I was fianlly hoping to have Roy and a big BP Richfield.
