Ok, when im on the internet, i see hundreds of dino pics with cretures in poses and colors that i want to see reproduced in figure form.

Start off is this Beuitiful Wehosaurus

Ultra scaly Carnotourus

Jetoar

[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

i'd like to see this GSP's rendition of a Pentaceratops as a toy model
"you know you have a lot of prehistoric figures if you have at least twenty items per page of the prehistoric/dinosaur section on ebay." - anon.

Battatitan

Now I'd buy that carno ^-^ And that Pentaceratops is awesome.... maybe if Mojo saw this thread....?  :))

CityRaptor

Maybe you should wait till Mojo actually improves.

How about some Louis Rey Cynognathus

Also, some Pastori Art:

Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Neat idea for a thread!

I'd love a Deinonychus figure based on Emily Willoughby's art:

Love the inquisitive pose there.

Or a Leaellynasaura like Niroot's lovely drawing:

It'd also be cool to see a figure like this Herrerasaurus by Elijah Shandsheight.

the pose is a bit uninspiring, but I really like the colors - and to illustrate such a primitive dinosaur with protofeaters is cool - very possible, but unconventional, which is always good in my book.  :D

I think a better choice of title for this thread would be "Dinosaur illustrations you would like companies to take inspiration from" or something like that.
I don't like the use of the word "ripping off". No artist likes their work to be used without credit.

I would love to see a series of detailed, 1:40 scale dinosaurs that match the dinosaurs in famous retro art, such as the Zallinger mural or paintings/drawings by Charles Knight. I know Kinto sort of has a series like this, but they are so expensive.
My living room smells like old plastic dinosaur toys... Better than air freshener!

I would like to see a huge basilosaurus figure with this colors of WWB colors  ^-^.

A retro dino toob would be perfect for this, with stuff like Knight's dinosaurs, the Crystal Palace dinosaurs, maybe even some of the archaic depictions of icthyosaurs without dorsal fins.

I agree that a retro set of figures would be awesome. Kaiyodo did a small set of retro styled bottlecap figures by the  way.

CityRaptor

I'm also for a set of Retro-Figures. Indeed I considered mentioning it, but forgot it...which is kinda embrassing, given that Knight's "Leaping Laelaps" is my current desktop background.
Maybe someone could also make a set of Sinclair Dinosaurs, based on their Dinoland.

Ripped was perhaps appropriate anyways, due to the fact that most of the artists so far mentioned, Zallinger, Burian, Knight are all deceased and are in no position to complain about their works being used as inspiration for collectible figures. Honestly I doubt any of those men would be so petty as to complain and they also would perhaps draw some feeling of awe their work could be so loved even today.
Aside from that the term ripped is often used in terms of copying a disc or recording. It does not necessarily carry a negative connotation as being stated.
Having said that, my favorite illustration I want brought to life is this one.

I love the patterning and colors so well, I am having Martin paint me a Carnegie Psittacosaurus in this pattern. Not a manufactured figure but still, why not
Authors with varying competence have suggested dinosaurs disappeared because of meteorites...God's will, raids by little green hunters in flying saucers, lack of standing room in Noah's Ark, and palaeoweltschmerz—Glenn Jepsen
