Quote from: Blade-of-the-Moon on November 06, 2024, 01:05:49 AMJust paid the 65.00 for Sea shipping from Lana, should be around the first of Dec. I really haven't hardly ever seen anyone beat Lana in terms of price/ship.

Likewise. I just couldn't justify the $150.00 for air shipping ( or thereabouts, I can't remember for sure) to get it only two weeks quicker.

Yup! And some new ones by Baidu users. I don't recall the prototype having orange highlights that were this obvious.

The colors look different in every photo I see  ::) I guess I will just have to wait and see mine in person next month

Yeah I try to look at Lana's where I ordered from and I swear it's almost impossible to tell.  I feel a lot of blending/time was cut from it?  I do see more orange now that you mention it as well. It almost looks like the brown version.

Now for something different. Today after a long journey the huge base from Haolonggood has arrived. Pretty nice I have to say. And the best news is that it has arrived without any damage. I really like this format of 95 by 35 cm, because one can fit a diorama easily on a standard shelf. Did anyone else here get this base as well? Just noticed a nice detail on the base that I had not seen before. In one of these small waterholes or ponds there is a tiny figure of a turtle cast into the transparent resin.

avatar_Blade-of-the-Moon @Blade-of-the-Moon Yeah the original prototype only had a hint of orange on the dorsum to highlight the hip osteoderms. The final ver. has heavily applied orange splotches all over the body going up the neck, down the flanks and on the tail base. Maybe this was done in an attempt to add complexity to the colour scheme? To make up for the reduced blending and purple colouration.

The factory carpark video by HLG clearly demonstrates the differences between prototype vs final release.

What's confusing to me is in some media, the orange colouration is more a flesh tone, much less saturated. e.g. Lana's video.

First in-hand pic of 131 (green). The more vibrant orange throat/neck on the final release looks very nice.

Seems the blue is the safest bet so far but I am certainly looking forward to seeing more of that green!

crazy8wizard

That is incredibly impressive but they really are using the term "green" a little loosely here.

Turkeysaurus

I think i like so called "blue" and "green" the most.

I would agree that these two look best in hand. The brown and purple looked very nice in the promotional images though. However, the brown and purple appear to have suffered a significant downgrade in paint application in the final product, whereas this is not so obviously the case for the blue and green.

My hope would be that now after Haolonggood has produced a 1:35 scale figure of what is presumably one of the largest sauropods they would not need to run any of these pre-order campaigns for figures which are smaller than Argentinosaurus like for example Brachiosaurus (or Giraffatitan).

For Purple and even brown the complexity and color choice probably makes it more difficult to achive what promo shots promised compared to the green & blue.  I think it's still a mystery until reviews are coming though.

Turkeysaurus

By the way i'm glad they don't have signature different color at the last end of the tail. It starts to look odd when you have bunch of HLG dinosaurs.

I was curious about what it would look like next to the huanghetitan. It looks like the huanghetitan is slightly taller at the shoulder but with a much shorter neck.

SenSx

The green version reminds mea bit of the PNSO Giganotosaurus.

I've been wondering that myself as I have the Huanghetitan on my shelf at the moment (though he may have to go away to make room for this guy) but I'm not sure this photo is very telling. It looks like the Argentinosaurus is further forward on the shelf so it's hard to say for sure how they size up to each other in a more straight on comparison

After a long hiatus I just stumbled across DinosDragons YouTube Review, and... dear God. I've been waiting for an accurate "commercial" Argentinosaurs for... 20 years now? This looks incredible. Just made my first purchase from Lana Time Shop! (And man - between $65 shipping by boat and $175 for air shipping... I'll have to be patient.  :)) )

Rayeknor

I'll post some photos of the purple variant when mine arrives unless someone else beats me to it, shipped today.

Looks like new Brachiosaurus species confirmed.
