avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin, yep, you noted some of my initial observations and then some. Pretty much all the common dinosaur genera are not for me. I have better versions already.

I too noted the Dimorphodon Papo pose (Is it viable or accurate anyway?) and Tupandactylus crest.

Scale will be a big determinant for me, too. I collect in several scales from ~1:10 to ~1:55. The pterosaurs will depend on scale as well as how inaccurate they might be. Diplocaulus is appealing, but I already have the Playvisions and Kaiyodo, so this new Diplo is for me only if it's a different scale. Same for the Lystrosaurus, Psittacosaurus and Yutyrannus.  I'd say the same for the Velociraptor, except its skull looks way too deep to my layman's eye, yes?

Sim

The Velociraptor is frustrating as it would have been great to have an accurate, small figure of it, but this one's skull is way too short and deep.  It would have been better if the figure were called Dromaeosaurus, it's a better fit for that species.

The Tupandactylus has Mosasaurus written on it.

I bought the Mosasaurus out of curiosity. I think the CollectA one is better, but one advantage the Recur has is that it doesn't have an articulated jaw. FYI, it's missing the Pterygoid teeth.

In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

That's.... beautiful. Wow. For $21.50 Recur might have just released one of the best rexes on the market right now.

I don't have a shortage of rex figures, avatar_Fembrogon @Fembrogon , but I am quite pleased, overall, with this specimen. Recur has definitely upped its game.

Wow... just wow. For the RECUR rex to look that good between REBOR's best rex and Eofauna's near masterpiece is a bit shocking, given their history.

I can't wait to see the Giganotosaurus!

Right, the Giga looked even better, just off the drawing board.

Elengassen

It looks really good! I definitely prefer it over the Eofauna, aesthetically. What a shame about the clown feet, as those seem to be the only major issue with it.
One day we will know the truth about Spinosaurus... but not today.

Looks great for a Recur model. Not bad! Fine Texture and style!

I guess that what now follows (whether or not the market responds with collectors actually buying these figures) will determine if Recur proceeds down this path.

I was wondering about that, avatar_Baryonyx @Baryonyx . What do you think about the front feet?

As I believe avatar_Over9K @Over9K mentioned some time ago, they're not as noticeable in person though I tried a relatively crude shaving down of the last two digits with blade, repainting the finger tips modification. It works perfectly well, especially if it was done with more care.

You know, you're tempting me to order one and do the same.

I noticed them right away when the first pictures were posted, but decided that the rest of the sculpt merited a purchase on my part. The only thing otherwise that I'll say for now in that regard is the at least they are of rigid plastic and seem to be holding Osborn quite upright so far. The Mojo rex had bigger feet and bent under the weight of the figure, plus paint that easily rubbed off, so I gave it away. This one is a keeper. I'm a bit conflicted on whether or not the blackish lower legs and feet ameliorate or worsen the size issue, but I'm leaning towards the former.

Fembrogon

Based on photos, I'd say the feet aren't THAT clownish; it's only when compared to figures like the Eofauna that it becomes evident. We've seen far worse examples from other companies, from Schleich to even Rebor.

It seems inevitable that a removeable base (Eofauna), transparent support rod with base (PNSO), downturned tail (Carnegie, Battat) accompanies approximately properly sized feet. My feathered Safari rex behaved okay for a while, then face-planted or tilted back onto its tail with its feet pointing upwards at a 30 degree angle. No amount of heat treatments to the feet made any lasting difference (and its feet are somewhat enlarged). At the low price point, its really hard to get a permanently standing rex, but not apparently impossible: the 1998 10th anniversary Carnegie T-rex stands well, all four subvariants and also the Dino Dana version of the Safari feathered rex are two examples that immediately come to mind. I  think the old 2004 Favorite rex (still one of my best) is another.

thebermuda303

My spinosaurus finally arrived, and I have to say I'm fully satisfied with it. Great paint and sculpt, some slight proportion issues but nothing major. In general it's a great option for not too expensive figure
