 The Velociraptor is a must-have :) !

Another Tyrannosaurus *yawns*, this time they're marketing it as an adult in it's prime rather than an elderly individual seen in the previous series.

Dunno why but Japanese dromaeosaurs just seem to all suffer from a lack of primary feathers and oftentimes tailfans as well. Which is a shame as the rest of the sculpt looks immaculate.

The Styracosaurus and Elasmosaurus peak my interest however. Looking forward to seeing more close up shots.

These are being sold for a very limited time, starting today, randomly, via on-line gashapon machine.

While still waiting to hear from my source with details, I think it's a safe assumption that the per figure price will be the same 1000 yen as that of the first set, sold the same way in November and releasing this month.

I have to think these two sets are the start of what will be a widely collected series and, owing to the limited releases, very likely good investment opportunities.

Any sales of these beyond the initial reservation period will obviously be for higher prices, so if anyone is interested, please PM asap.

Thanks.
Brett

None of these really speaks to me. The Velociraptor might if they were a bit smaller, closer to Dinotales-sized. But they are well made, and it's encouraging to see a second series so soon after the first. If they keep making them, maybe they'll get around to some animals that interest me more (if they don't keep wasting slots on Ty***nosaurus).

Are those already released or, if not, do you have a release date?

Thanks.

Spotted these on Paleofiguras. BBTS has links to both. Parasaurolophus and a blank Tyrannosaurus for painting. The Parasaurolophus has options for both P. walkeri, and P. cyrtocristatus (as "male" and "female", but yeah, nice to see them included at all, especially the later for once).

Edit: Was this Giganotosaurus a 2023 release? I noticed BBTS is expected to get the stock this year though.

The fleshed out Giga is an early 2024 release

Over9K

Just an FYI...

The Painting Version Plannosaurus Tyrannosaurus uses a new type of plastic that contains "powdered paper", ostensibly to make the model easier to paint.

From Bandai:

"A new material containing paper powder is used in part of the plastic as a raw material, providing a higher quality painting experience.  Feel free to paint with acrylic gouache!"

"Acrylic paints are recommended. The paint should not be diluted too much or else it will not stick to the model. Painted parts may change color over time when touched or rubbed."

So... yeah.

As a sidenote, Bandai is (unexpectedly, I think we can agree...) continuing the Display Model Collection with a set of canines...

A bit bare on the paint, but the anatomy looks good.

Also got an email a bit ago about the Parasaurolophus coming into stock soon on BBTS. Got that one pre-ordered, particularly because of it being like the only figure out there with an option of P. cyrtocristatus (though treated as male and female options). Really need more figures of that one honestly.

Edit: Surprised the Brachiosaurus wasn't shared here. Looks to be an early 2025 release (at least on BBTS). The head sculpt actually looks to be based on B. altithorax for once, and not the Giraffatitan brancai of old.

Not only is the head properly Brachiosaurus, but the torso and tail are appropriately longer and the back slightly more curved. All the subtle differences are here so this is without a shadow of a doubt Brachiosaurus altithorax!

would get the Pteranodon if it was bigger

Also I've recently got the display model 2 Velociraptor and I'm using it as Adasaurus. Am currently sculpting a tail fan for it!
