Thoughts on what could come next from CollectA

Yes, CollectA's Bajadasaurus and Brontosaurus are great, I have both and I'm delighted with the Brontosaurus.  I was just talking about how CollectA hasn't made a deluxe diplodocoid since they started making great sauropods.  And with regards to that, I consider the following CollectA's great sauropod figures, starting with their year of release:
2015: Daxiatitan
2018: Brontosaurus
2020: Bajadasaurus
2021: Mamenchisaurus
2023: Ruyangosaurus
2024: Dreadnoughtus
2025: Ingentia

Looking like a small number of releases this year. But they've packed a lot of variety in. There might still be room for a giant pterosaur.

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres - I think it appears to be a small number of releases because there are 5 Fridays in November this year, so they are spreading their normal 4 weeks of announcements over 5 weeks (and it's been confirmed, I believe, there are still two weeks of reveals to go).

Sure, so maybe two more reveals? Three if they double up the last week? Six or seven new figures is still kind of a low number compared to many past years for CollectA. Still, the ones we're getting are pretty solid in my view, especially the Jaekelopterus.

Or a plesiosauroid!

That's right too! They might release a plesiosauroid (Elasmosaurus) eventually. That one at least is long enough to have a shot at being considered. Realistically, that's the only plesiosauroid I can see them considering, even though as far as plesiosauroids are concerned, there are better options, like Futabasaurus, as you requested.

The most glaring omission from their portfolio is obviously Cotylorhynchus.

Now that all of the 2025 CollectA figures are known, below is whether CollectA is making what I thought they might which I posted earlier in this thread.

Large pterosaur: no
Prehistoric mammal: yes
Large sauropod: yes
Postosuchus: no
British species: no
A feathered species: yes
A megaraptoran: yes
Stegosaurus: no
An ankylosaurid with a tail club: no
An aquatic animal: yes
Something from the Paleozoic: yes

6 right, 5 wrong!  I'm very surprised by the ones CollectA didn't make!

Looks like I got a lot of my wishes made from earlier in the year (all with the exception of Thylacoleo).

Got a new Paleozoic animal and prehistoric invertebrate in the form of the eurypterid Jaekelopterus (which folks have been asking for several years now), got another prehistoric Cenozoic mammal, another Triassic period animal, and a new prehistoric bird in the form of the Phorusrhacos (terror bird).

That said I am really glad we got an Arctodus and a Gallimimus from them. Both have been long requested from numerous folks here over the years after all.

As for British species in particular, I think we should expect fewer in the future, without Anthony Beeson's involvement.
