Dan Surprise's unboxing and review of the HC Stegosaurus;

Halichoeres

If anyone is buying the Distortus set and doesn't want the Aquilops, I'll take it off your hands.

If they don't do an animatronic, 1-to-1 scale baby Aquilops, that comes with an actual backpack the child can wear... STUPID.

They need to Grogu that damn dinosaur, and Grogu it NOW.

Over9K

Ok... I'm really diggin' Mattel's marketing here...

Blade-of-the-Moon

I wondered when someone else would find that on Walmart's site lol It was kinda fun.  ;D

There is a full size puppetronix aquilops coming from RealFX so pretty close. :)

Unboxed the Titanosaurus tonight, they did a great job of making it feel massive while actually being about the same size as other giant sauropods in the line.  Tail is pretty long for a titanosaur but only by around 5 or 6 inches? Not bad.

Blade-of-the-Moon

lol this is pretty funny. They are really pushing this creature. This does feel sorta 90s though :

So is the Titanosaurus actually taller than the Dreadnoughtus or is it just the perspective in you pics making it look taller?

It's taller in these pics, around 3"?  I have it in the pose that matches the paint on the body and the box. It can go back further looking at it, if you wanted the neck way back. The Dread can also go taller maybe decreasing that height advantage to 2" ?   Box art has it rearing up but I don't see how to make it do that on it's own.   I am considering touching up the paint on the neck to match the new render/art with more white on the upper neck. wouldn't be super hard I don't think?  There does appear to be some variation too.

andrewsaurus rex

thanks for the info.   No adding white wouldn't be too hard.  Be prepared to do several coats, as white is not an easy colour to cover other colours with.  And i would use an acrylic paint if i were you to avoid the paint drying sticky or glossy, which can happen with a lot of other types of paint.

I kind of like the JP 3 male, and correct me if I'm wrong, but it's at least a new action feature on it?

All the same, bit of a wash, this reveal.

MLMjp

JP raptor has the wrong head and TLW gets screwed with bad striping as always, JP3 male is fine though.

I'm fine with the striping on this TLW one. Better on the body then the new HC version for sure (some more paint would have made it better). Again the face ones are a bit of a miss though (and again no stripes on the top of the head which even got left out on the HC version). The face stripes on the one in the Dieter set were a better match but it had even less paint everywhere else (neck, tail, etc).

The real gem of this pack is the new male JPIII raptor. New action feature(?) and got the most paint compared to the other two. The head sculpt is a clear improvement over the HC one. Kind of like the Epic Attack one but with better quills, and accurate round pupils.

Also where did the stripes go here lol?

Edit: $30 and expected to release in October. Good need that breathing room to get the Rebirth and some new HC then (Stygi and Spino, maybe Stego).

Edit 2: Fixed the low quality images, which were caused from linking them on mobile for some reason, sorry.

Something tells me this is one you won't have to be in a hurry to pick up. In fact, if you hold out until the holidays, I'll bet you will be able to find it for 70% off!

Eatmycar

Yikes with this set.

No JP3 female, either? Really disappointing. I'll definitely wait for a holiday discount for this. I just want the JP3 raptor anyway. It's clear he got the love (and paint budget) from the team.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Yeah pretty disappointing.  I might get it on sale eventually.

Flaffy

Very lame reveal. The only figure worth getting in that set is the JP3 Male.

Halichoeres

Titanosaurus looks pretty nice, but I might wait for a smaller static one from one of the fancier companies like W Dragon.

There will be a couple at least I feel. I just hope it's the updated film/render not the one appearing on merch currently.

Agreed. I got up early for this lol  I was expecting the D-Rex raft attack pack set. They might use the new Giga/Theri reimagined set for the next one too..ugh.
