I ended up really liking the design but yeah, the electronic figure kind of reminds me of their first Indominus (not the skeleton) where it's more about the mechanisms inside and that ends up hurting the articulation or what you can really do with it

I guess we should wait for a hammond collection but..the Indominus doesnt have one yet either

I thought for sure we would get a HC Indominus this year, what with it being the 10 year anniversary and all.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Maybe for Nov/December?  I think after the Stegosaurus we are out of HC reveals/leaks?  Something else has to be coming for the next 6 months. This is a movie year.  I have a feeling we will be seeing some HC designs of the newer creatures as well.

avatar_Gwangi @Gwangi I used to think that as well. I wonder if they decided to swap it out with the Spinosaurus this year to please the fans of the old design, as it has a new design for it in Rebirth? Granted I think there was honestly way more demand for it compared to the Indominus rex anyways. Nearly every Beyond the Gates and HC post elsewhere prior to its reveal had people asking for the Spinosaurus (or the JPIII Spinosaurus). Would be nice to see the Indominus get one next year, unless they do a new T. rex (which is also much needed).

Also wondering what could come next year, aside from our yearly XL one. There's still a bit more they could do from the films, and even CC and CT.

Here's the film canon remaining species:

Spoiler
Tiny (I would be shocked if they did any of these):
-Aquilops
-Compsognathus
-Lystrosaurus
-Microceratus
-Moros
-Oviraptor

Small:
-Dimorphodon (unless last year's SDCC minis count?)
-Herrerasaurus (Telltale game version, maybe since they did the Troodon)
-Mutadon

Large or medium:
-Iguanodon
-Indoraptor
-Nasutoceratops
-Pteranodon
-Quetzalcoatlus
-Sinoceratops

XL (I doubt the sauropods and Mosasaurus will get the treatment):
-Apatosaurus
-Distortus rex
-Dreadnoughtus
-Indominus rex
-Mamenchisaurus
-Mosasaurus
-Titanosaurus

Major variants remaining:
-Atrociraptor Panthera, Red, and Tiger
-Carnotaurus (demon colored one, FK and Dominion)
-Mosasaurus (Dominion and Rebirth)
-Parasaurolophus (JP, JPIII, Dominion and Rebirth. Dominion has three color variants)
-Pteranodon (JPIII and World)
-Quetzalcoatlus (Dominion and Rebirth)
-Spinosaurus trio (Rebirth)
-Tyrannosaurus female (TLW)
-Tyrannosaurus male (TLW and JPIII)
-Tyrannosaurus (Rebirth)
-Velociraptor Charlie, Echo, and Rebirth
[close]
Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory species and variants:

Spoiler
-Ankylosaurus Bumpy and Smoothie
-Baryonyx Chaos, Grim, and Limbo, and Leucistic
-Becklespinax (Blonde and Brunette)
-Brachiosaurus Firecracker
-Carnotaurus Toro
-Gallimimus Geba
-Kentrosaurus Pierce
-Majungasaurus Major (and the black one)
-Monolophosaurus (green, orange, and black)
-Nothosaurus
-Ouranosaurus
-Pachyrhinosaurus
-Parasaurolophus lux (several variants)
-Scorpios rex
-Spinoceratops Angel and Rebel
-Smilodon
-Suchomimus (grey and red spotted, orange and red spotted, and the orange one like this year's toy)
-Tarbosaurus
-Tyrannosaurus Big Eatie and Little Eatie
[close]

Giganotosaurus

We haven't gotten any Camp Cretaceous HC figures, have we?
Mosasurus on Jurassic Mainframe and JPToys
Angurius on TohoKingdom

I love all the Jurassic movies, plus Disney's Dinosaur

Blade-of-the-Moon

Not that  I recall no humans anyway and no show specific species really.

They were running out of large carnivores after the Indominus, so I'm betting we see the new Spino,Rex, and D-Rex show up eventually.

We need the rest of the raptor squad already too.

I think that Bumpy, the Scorpios Rex and the Camp Squad are fit for HC figures. Was hoping that we would get a HC Indominus Rex this year with Jurassic World's 10th anniversary but oh well... but I'm happy that they did the JP3 Spinosaurus as a HC figure at least.

Came across this review video of the JW Rebirth Zora Bennett and Velociraptor Pack (the Youtuber is Thai, so review is not in English).

that reminds me we also need an hc indoraptor

crazy8wizard

Especially with how the Super Poseable Indoraptor has aged. That figure was awesome back in 2018 but the Hammond Collection has so greatly improved since then that it's even a little too stark of a difference having it next to the Amber Collection dinos.

They don't have the poseability but the last Indoraptor overall had a better sculpt and teeth than the SP as well. They could do an amazing one now. I plan on getting the new Nanmu Smart series one but I still would love to see a HC version.

JPuggy

Got my HC Spino today and... wow this thing is gorgeous. This is the centerpiece of my collection now, it looks good from all angles. Hoping we get a HC Scorpius to replace my original one, but for now I'm content with my super poseable Indoraptor.

Noideaforaname

The Spinosaur really is quite amazing.

I for one appreciate the sheer gall JP/// had to kill the T. rex and am a bit annoyed how JW seemingly just can't let that go...

... but I have a soft spot for JPOG's alternative.

As much as I'd happily buy just about anything Hammond Collection would release, I'm glad these particular genera had a go first while I'm still willing to buy first, figure out space second. That late 90s era of "bigger than T. rex" was mind-blowing and it's neat to have an encapsulation of that.

I'm gonna need bigger shelves...

Also, if you didn't know any better, you might just think Baryonyx and Irritator were babies!

crazy8wizard

Woah, I didn't realize how good the feet on the hammond collection theropods got until I saw the HC T. rex again!

Just found the first wave mini set at a pharmacy of all things (for Canadians, check your Shoppers Drug Marts)!

So got to pick up a few--the irritator and mapusaurus sets! Need to go back for Nasutoceratops since I never found one before!

Dilopho

I have the HC Stegosaurus now and it's really nice, I was surprised that it can just stand on its back legs perfectly with no support.

HC Spinosaurus and Stegosaurus are already listed on amazon spain, although they won't be in stock for a few months.

But the prices! 60 € for the Stegosaurus and 85€ for the Spinosaurus!

And these are the ones sold by amazon themselves, not third party! The Giganotosaurus stays under the 70€ mark, so WTF?!

This is Europe, tariffs don't apply here Mattel.

If Mattel has to pay fees on products or parts or even shipping price hikes they will pass them on to a degree. This tariff nonsense isn't good for anyone.

Are you sure this is Mattel's fault? At least here in Germany Amazon is nearly always overpriced when it comes to figures.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Dilopho

Hey everyone, just a tip, even though the mouth on the power devour T. rex is designed to stay open,
You can actually get it to stay in that 80% closed position simply by activating its chomping mechanism, then switching it off while the jaw is closing.
