With the exception of the Irritator I think every other figure in the hammond collection tie back to something related to the series so it might be a stretch

And the Metriacanthosaurus....unless you consider it was a species listed on the cryogenic embryo canister within Nedry's shaving cream, and it had promotional art for the 2015 film.

It's also in the Jurassic World: Evolution games. Irritator is featured in some video games too. At this point it's probably hard to find a dinosaur that isn't connected with the franchise in some capacity.

This is actually the reason Irritator was the only Hammond Collection dinosaur I passed up on. I thought they'd do more non-canon/soft-canon species that I'd skip, but it's been years and I now have literally everything except Irritator and it's one of the trickiest to get on the aftermarket.

Not getting that Irritator back when it was £30 might be my biggest dino toy regret.

I'm not a Hammond Collection completionist but I regret not getting that one too. Its window of availability was ridiculously short and by the time I decided I wanted it...it was gone.

Scutosaurus is part of JW Canon?

No, but Kenner made a Scutosaurus.

It's not a 1:1 match but I still feel the Irritator is a nod to its design from the JP3 Park Builder game for the GBA which was part of why I was hoping it'd hit shelves here (but didn't)

crazy8wizard

I heard this but considering how old and somewhat obscure the game is, I feel skeptical that this was the original design basis.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Received the Distortus Rex Island Escape Set from Amazon France. I really hope this releases in states too, it's a fantastic set with all the little add ons, even the dino damage helm on the boat.

Didn't realize that wasn't released in the US. I am kinda tempted by the little Aquilops, but not international shipping tempted.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Supposedly Target will release it, but it's out in France and Canada. I've seen these sets get cancelled in the U.S. and end up in Mexico or other places only. Didn't want to risk it.

Just going to try and nip this in the bud right now, does anyone have an extra HC Spino they would be willing to sell or trade for? It's been a good minute since Target restocked and I'm starting to sweat. Certainly don't want another HC Pyroraptor incident on my hands so I figure I better ask now while they still might be on some store shelves.

Faelrin

It's surprising that Amazon and BBTS don't have it yet.

Another reason I'm getting anxious!

Also looking for an HC Spino. I could potentially trade one for a Distortus story pack.

I have yet to see the Spinosaurus online or at my local Target. In fact, the Stegosaurus is the only one I've seen in-store. I got my tiger raptor and Stiggy off Target's website. I don't NEED the Spinosaurus but I was hoping it would be abundant enough that I could possibly get it on sale down the line. I'm starting to think that might not happen.
