I don't have space/money for another big Sauropod. I think I'm good on them for now, but very very excited for this Shant!!

Rather than HLG's Shantungosaurus, I believe the figure we're seeing there is this one:

As mentioned before, that X account is not official, so we should take what is posted there with a grain of salt.

Quote from: Concavenator on June 10, 2025, 01:30:41 PMI dare you (or anybody else, for that matter) to look at the following pics, without any names or sizes, and tell me which species do both figures represent:

HLG Alamasaurus & Argentinosaurus c):)

EDIT : oops it wasn't the purpose of the challenge sry :||

Good eye. The original image is flipped, but it's a perfect fit. Seems fake.

That the watermark on the image said 'Haolonggood Fans' I suspected it was a fan-generated image.

These fake announcements are getting to be mighty tiresome. Don't people have better things to do with their time?

Flaffy

Damn, that's incredibly disappointing. Borderline misinformation from the fan account at this point.

I think we are getting to the point where it is like with the storytellers in ancient times before written language was invented.

We have to find out what is the truth in these storylines and what is made up.

Truth here is probably that there will be a Shantungosaurus released by Haolonggood and the release will most likely come out later this month.

Anything beyond this is most likely being made up.

This is how I will approach the announcements from this fan account from now on.

Ok, taking bets on the actual Shantungosaurus color schemes.

I don't know why but I'm thinking blue/gray and red/brown. Just a hunch.

D'oh!

Bergues

Perhaps worth noting that Alamosaurus v2 has modified color patterns. Haolonggood confirmed they ittentionaly made changes.

Interesting, avatar_DavidJamesArmsby @DavidJamesArmsby , how what might be considered a deficiency in your group shot of the HLG sauropods, is actually, to my perception, an actual asset. The fact that the Argentinosaurus couldn't easily be accommodated in the group shot makes its incredibly sheer bulk all the more apparent. Especially that enormous neck!

A teaser image is now circulating on Facebook showing part of a green Shantungosaurus:

This is the teaser. I like the color already. It's like military camouflage transforming from dark green to olive color. It's face seems to have dark red around nose.

Same old HLG paint blobs. This one might be my first repaint.
