Probably the only band that I know and like the music of is Blue Oyster Cult, just because of their Godzilla song.I also like film themes back in the days like Godzilla 1954 theme by Akira Ifukube and The Imperial March.Yes,this is coming from someone born in 2004  ;D

If you haven't seen the movie yet, do so - or read the comic it's based on (one of Time's Magazin's 100 Best Novels)

Fairytale of New York is the best Christmas song.

What's your favourite Christmas song?

I have a soft spot for The Pogues, my dad used to listen to them all the time while I was growing up.

I feel the urge to post this.... as I do not have a favorite "Christmas song" but I catch myself from time to time to sing the chorus of this rascally and funny song.

I'm not really big on a lot of Christmas music; if it's not about a religion I don't follow, it's alot of inane and repetitive stuff about snow, I live in California, snow doesn't exist here. I do, however, enjoy some holiday music.

I don't know anyone who doesn't enjoy "Feliz Navidad". I think if you're part of a largely Hispanic Christian family, it's a December necessity.
The original by Jose Feliciano is my all-time favorite Christmas song:

Finnish singer Tarja Turunen has a pretty great version on her new "From Spirits and Ghosts(Score for a Dark Christmas)" album:

"Go With It" by Victoria Wood is one of my favorite songs, ever. It's not Christmas/Holiday themed really, though I do think it really suits the Holidays. It just gives me the feel of being inside, away from the cold, with your family.

My family hated it when I use to play feliz navidad but I find it a rather nice and upbeat song. I believe I posted this last year but but this is my favorite Christmas song.

"3,000 km to the south, the massive comet crashes into Earth. The light from the impact fades in silence. Then the shock waves arrive. Next comes the blast front. Finally a rain of molten rock starts to fall out of the darkening sky - this is the end of the age of the dinosaurs. The Comet struck the Gulf of Mexico with the force of 10 billion Hiroshima bombs. And with the catastrophic climate changes that followed 65% of all life died out. It took millions of years for the earth to recover but when it did the giant dinosaurs were gone - never to return." - WWD

Just checked Rebor's Facebook and found out that Dolores O'Riordan died, aged 46. That's shocking.

Not really my music, but it's saddening for me, too. I liked the Zombie song.

PhilSauria

Sad to hear this. I like the Cranberries music and 46 is WAY too young. You kinda get used to hearing of the demise of old rockers from the 50s on, who are in their 70s and beyond, but not from her generation. At least the music lives one.

I've always loved Amateras Records Touhou covers, but this is the first in a good while I've really adored.
