Browsing this particular thread feels weird after being less active for the past few months.

Anyway, to answer avatar_DinoToyForum @dinotoyforum 's question (granted this is my first listen to either version), I slightly prefer the Kid A version, although I get why it's a hard choice for you (it is for me as well).

I've decided it depends what mood I'm in. Very depressed or a just a bit depressed. :))

I make music mostly inspired by prehistoric animals, planets or other weird science fiction concepts, mostly experimental synthy stuff,  bit of a dub influence here and there, but I'm also a songwriter and guitarist, demos out some point early next year. Hope I posted this in the right area haha, hope you guys enjoy. Also might release my WWD inspired music, I also compose stuff in the style of Benjamin Bartletts score for the walking with series. Just perfecting it.

ah thank you so much! Really nice to have someone listen to my music haha, if you liked it then feel free to share it around I'd really appreciate that. As for my WWD style compositions, I'll wait till I've made enough, refine them, then release them.

Devin Townsend is just wonderful. I've been following his career since he joined the VAI band in 1993.
avatar_Libraraptor @Libraraptor, You have to watch the new DVD - Order of Magnitude - Empath Live Vol.1, that's a hell of a concert!

I've been listening to a lot of early 70s rock lately. This is short-lived power trio Beck Bogert & Appice's version of Stevie Wonder's Superstition:

Jeff Beck played on and helped compose the original before recording it with his own band, so I don't know if it should exactly be considered a cover. Anyhow, three monster musicians playing an outstanding tune.

Sarapaurolophus

I love listening to all sorts of genres but I always come back to hard rock and metal in general. I have a hard time describing what I like best because it always depends on my mood. Right now I actually listen to a lot of Justice, Danger, Lazerhawk and similar. But I also enjoy musicals and movie scores.

Also love to sing and shred a little. Would love to learn how to scream properly but my neighbors disagree LOL
At least with the guitar I can use headphones.

Cool you like him, too! I had discovered him just recently (shame on me...), just a few months ago, and he made the lockdown much better to endure. And he´s still with me. Just recently I listen to the latest AC/DC record, especially this great song dedicated to Malcolm Young:

Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Synthwave music (Dark Synth and Terror Synth mostly).

I think there is a bit of nostalgia for the films I watched during my childhood in the 80s and 90s, because I usually hear a lot of:

a) Remixes from 80s musics or songs I like:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rov5I0CQKw

b) Or they bring back memories of the things I grew up with for the people involved (like John Carpenter´s Lost Themes) or visual identity or themes  from that decades (Gunship´s "Art3mis & Parzival"):

:)  Hey Tylosaurus glad  see your still around.  I saw you asked about me back in April and I was worried you got Covid.  I didn't realize the Status Quo were still around.  I only remember them from the Sixties.  Also Dinoworld is still there and Pilty is here.

Oh hey Stoneage! very nice that Dinoworld is still aalive, gotta seek it out, tons of good topics remainthere tbh.

Yea no covid for me , well not yet, I did lose a few family members by it, about 4 others from my fam seem to have the new British variant, but so far they seem to be pulling through.
I hope you are doing healthy as well man, nasty year as 2020 goes, Status Quo is still around  from what I know., I have their live concert from Montreal, 2009 album's name is  Pictures, a fantastic CD/DVD Combo album.

Here their site:
https://www.statusquo.co.uk/

As you see they are very much alive, from 1962 to present, quite the achievement I'm like :)

stoneage

I know the Status Quo mainly from their 1968 his in the US, "Pictures of Matchstick Men" and "Ice in the Sun."  I never realized all this time they've been having hits all around the world.  My older daughter had Covid but she only lost her smell.  A friend was put on a respirator and was hospitalized twice.  He is over Covid, but his health has deteriorated.  Also a friend of my wife lost two siblings after a funeral in March.

Hopefully I won't get it because I haven't had the flu in decades.

I watch the series, but I heard some of the music before on a channel about gnosticism. I like the vibe of most of the soundtracks for the series. The track beginning from 38:56 comes to mind as a favorite.

P.S. Gaius Baltar and William Adama are my favorite characters, and Starbuck is an obnoxious person :-p

Also love The Rolling Stones, with Mick Jagger on Vocals & Keith Richards on Guitar, these songs are really nice:

The Rolling Stones - Mixed Emotions "Official Promo Release" (1989)

And here a cover they did back in 2020, due to the lockdowns in several countries  many cities became Ghost towns, a well placed choice for sure:

Taung child is one of the best artists i know. He has all kinds of styles, he does techno, relaxing, neon, classical, you name it! And he is so much like Benjamin Bartlett, the guy who made the Walking with Dinosaurs series themes. avatar_Reuben03 @Reuben03 , amazing job!
