They used my favorite game for the backdrop!

"3,000 km to the south, the massive comet crashes into Earth. The light from the impact fades in silence. Then the shock waves arrive. Next comes the blast front. Finally a rain of molten rock starts to fall out of the darkening sky - this is the end of the age of the dinosaurs. The Comet struck the Gulf of Mexico with the force of 10 billion Hiroshima bombs. And with the catastrophic climate changes that followed 65% of all life died out. It took millions of years for the earth to recover but when it did the giant dinosaurs were gone - never to return." - WWD

Fantastic. Discovered that soundtrack through Justin Hayward. I'm a big Moody Blues fan.

What are peoples general thoughts on "epic" music? I mean those sorta loud, often orchestral scores, that have no lyrics? I just ask because I'm really the only person in my group of friends and family that really likes these songs, and truth be told, these types of music are my absolute favourite and I'd love to find more people who like them.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about, this is my most favourite song of all time.

I understand under epic music many kinds of music, ranging from Wagner (really the origin of all things epic in music) to John Williams. Really dark epic (and bombastic) music which I love is from Elliot Goldenthals music from Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.

At the moment (also because I am trying to learn to play the recorder) I am listening to the album English Recorder Concertos, performed by Michala Petri.

Brocc21

I love me some They Might be Giants.
"Boy do I hate being right all the time."

Awesome dynamic range as well as nice melodies. (Ignore the stupid "scull with headphones" trope.)

A shatteringly sad and starkly powerful poem set to some of the most beautiful music I know. (I won't go into the politics of it, because then I will get angry, and we don't need anger, we need love and understanding..) If interested, check out José Cura's wonderful album "Anhelo".

My team and I always put together a video for the annual anime convention–this year, we made a music video! If you watch closely, you might spot my cameo  ;D

This may easily be the first wholly positive post you've made on this thread!

Very belated reply (especially considering this is about music), but I have.  :)

Who doesn´t?  ^-^

I know, but for me it's very unusual that a 17 year old pop musician can move me in such a way.

:-[ Oops! Really? Here's another one.
Production- and vocalwise Billie's "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?" is my album of the year so far - right next to Devin Townsend's "Empath".
Pretty different styles of music, but both are masterpieces in a league of their own :) .

I've been on a Radiohead cloud for months. I haven't listened to any other band during this time, which can't be healthy, but there's something indescribably special about Radiohead. Anyway, here's two versions of Morning Bell. I've listened to them both dozens of times and still can't decide which I prefer, how about you?

Browsing this particular thread feels weird after being less active for the past few months.

Anyway, to answer avatar_DinoToyForum @dinotoyforum 's question (granted this is my first listen to either version), I slightly prefer the Kid A version, although I get why it's a hard choice for you (it is for me as well).
