THEY'RE BACK!

SHE'S BEAUTIFUL!

Please, go back to dropping a figure every month now 😂

I hope a lipped Tyrannosaurus and the long rumoured Gigantoraptor are next!

100% picking this one up. Been waiting for a static Spiclypeus ever since its description. The BotM I had a few minor issues with that ultimately pushed me towards not getting it.

I like the subtle tiger striping. Wish the eyespots were a different colour though. Very similar shade used on the Lokiceratops already.

Oh yes I want that Gigantoraptor, and rumored new Mosasaurus, I want to compare with the HL that is also rumored.

As for the T-rex, I would one that  capture this design, it almost has komodo dragon vibe for me if you see what I mean.
I've yet to have the definitive T-Rex figure.

I like this Spiclypeus!  Finally another chasmosaurine!  PNSO's main line ones had only been Triceratops and Torosaurus if I'm not mistaken.  After this one I don't think PNSO will be making Kosmoceratops anytime soon, for the forum member that was asking about it.  If there's going to be another PNSO chasmosaurine, I think it will be one of the following: Agujaceratops, Anchiceratops, Arrhinoceratops, Pentaceratops.

Not a genus I'm interested in, so easy skip on my end. Not that I can say Spiclypeus is a bad choice, it's known from a sufficient amount of material, so it isn't.

As for the figure itself... the body's color scheme is alright, but I find the frill's color scheme to be pretty lame. I recall criticism of the Lokiceratops' frill's color scheme looking artificial, but at least it looks elaborate and flashy, this time, it also looks artificial, and the pattern is just a 6:P

The figure itself is good though, as per usual.

I don't see it that way. If Spiclypeus got made, then I guess the more famous Kosmoceratops will eventually get made by them as well. I'd like to see that too, even though I'm a fan of HLG's recent ceratopsids, the Kosmoceratops in particular has a few inaccuracies that stop me from getting it.

Regardless of the frequency, it's likely PNSO will keep releasing ceratopsians, and since the more basal ones are probably not even getting considered due to size reasons, their ceratopsian releases will probably keep being ceratopsid releases, and so, centrosaurines and chasmosaurines.

This is an odd choice if they want to sell a lot. Especially all those months after another ceratopsian with same size model Lokiceratops.

It's a beautiful figure, however it's an unknown species with overall muddy colors. Also i think it's larger than 1:35. I don't know if there will be hype around it especially with pnso prices.

Regardless i'm just happy PNSO is back.

Strangely I'm not sure I like the closed mouth version as much.

I'm happy that PNSO is back - and in view of my collecting bias, I'm happy with the choice of Spiclypeus.  I'm surprised how much I've grown accustomed to a choice of colours because of Haolonggood's MO - how quickly habits become ingrained.

This is based on largest (70% percent bigger than Scotty) T.rex possible so muscles (on jaws too) a bit exaggerated than usual.

Also T.rex always looks weird face front. Wide face & binocular vision. It's like some kind of canine/komodo dragon hybrid.

Some lipped T. rex sculpts by PNSO. Upper for half-lipped, lower for fully-lipped. These were shared by Paleofiguras last year, in June and August, respectively.

Knowing PNSO and how much they like milking the Rex, what I'm thinking they might do is release a half-lipped Tyrannosaurus as seen in the first pic (or literally that sculpt in PVC). There will be people who buy it, as technically it'd represent an improvement over Cameron, since qualitatively speaking, it'll be "lipped". Yet at the same time, a lot of people will not be fully satisifed with it, because it would not be lipped the way they are used to, that is, fully lipped. That'd represent yet another reason for them to wait another few years to release another lipped Rex, but being fully-lipped.

Or perhaps they'll just release a fully-lipped Rex next time they release another one. Financial reasons aside, there's no reason for them not to release a fully-lipped Rex next time they want to release another one, after their fully lipped 2023 Yangchuanosaurus and Saurophaganax. But there'd also be financial reasons for them not do so (another excuse for releasing an umpteenth Rex later on). If their next Rex is fully-lipped there'll be no detail left for clear improvement. Unless it's brown again (which will surely be) and then they plan on releasing another fully-lipped Rex but with a more interesting color scheme later on!?  :o

Yes, those PNSO renders are great, the fully lipped is what I want from the ultimate T-rex, I hope it will be released someday.

Turkeysaurus

If we get another brown colored but only half lipped T.rex , i would be livid. Is this Showanna count as half lipped?

Never heard of Spiclypeus before, but it's a new species of ceratopsian for me so an automatic cha-ching!

So it seems that rumors of PNSO's demise were greatly exaggerated.

Tracewyrm!

Great to see PNSO return after the few months of inactivity!
Spiclypeus is admittedly a new one to me. I've never been too much of a ceratopsian collector, but I'm sure there's people who'll get a kick out of it. PNSO's sculpting work is amazing as always (that beak looks SHARP xD), though I can see why some would be a little underwhelmed by the paintjob.
