Check out THIS trailer for an upcoming BBC2 program! Looks AMAZING!

Wonder when it'll come out Stateside?
Jurassic Time is back... and this time, it will stay with you forever.

Jurassic Time... it can now belong in your own museum.

This looks awesome, I can't wait to watch it! The animation and CGI is so good that for a second I thought the shot with the Cave Bear and its cubs was a live bear that was filmed! This has by far the best animation CGI of any show I've ever seen! :)

Weaver

My gosh, it looks incredible. Fur looks incredible and the movements of the animals are stupendous! Oh heck, I can't wait to see this come to the USA someday. AAAH!

Seijun

Wow, that looks amazing. The cat chasing the equine was absolutely perfect.
My living room smells like old plastic dinosaur toys... Better than air freshener!

On top of that, the music they used for the trailer worked stunningly with the visuals! :D

Really, I hated the music. I really hope they have cool music in the actual series.

I love Tchaikovsky, but it was a little weird to hear "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" being played while hoards of prehistoric beasts tried to kill each other, lol.

That's why I liked it! Haha! The music was a bit unsettling compared to what was going on with the visuals. Made it slightly disturbing and strange, haha!

Yeah, I'm weird. ;) I'm sure that music won't be used in the show at all, haha.

I thought the music was great, and was a clever choice with the trailer, at least.  It's not Tchaikovsky, though, it's Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King". ;)

Yutyrannus

I going to see if I can put this song in the trailer without getting rid of the creature sounds. Then I won't need to mute it whenever I watch the trailer >:D.

Yes, give us shallow fake "epic" garbage instead of music written by a man who had more talent in his little finger that most pop singers have in their entire body today! *yuck* Talent is so last century, cool and EXTREEM is what we want *sarcasm*

....This generation is doomed.

You are right! I probably should have gone and listened to Sugar Plum Fairy again before opening my mouth, lol  :)) (so embarrassing >_< )

I didn't mean the song was bad. I just meant that I hated it because it did not go with the trailer at all and made it seem dumb and stupid when it is really a cool looking show.

Oh, okay. No problem then.

Simon

Hmmm....I am coming in late, and have no opinion on the music discussed here, not having heard it...but is anyone else disappointed that The Great Gatsby, about the 1920s, which decade gave birth to some of the greatest popular music in American history, apparently uses modern hip hop garbage as its background music?

You want to be outraged by music choices in films, that's a better one to get outraged about .... I am not seeing it  ...

Balaur

I have to agree with Yutyrannus on the animation. I also though that the bear was a bear filmed in the real world. I can't wait to see this programme! It looks absolutely amazing!  :)

Here is another trailer for it:

It seems to show more of what this show will be like. Female narrator for this one. I wonder if she introduces each segment in it, cuts back and forth between present day and past, or something else entirely? Interesting.

Is it strange that I'm a little more excited for this than for WWD 3D? I'm not really that interested in prehistoric mammals, but these effects look really convincing. Plus, from what I can tell, this will have more in common with the original Walking With shows than the upcoming film will.

scallenger

No, I actually have to agree with you! We don't get enough good Ice Age animal programs of this type, and none have EVER looked as convincing as this one! It's too bad it is just an ice age show and not really anything a bit before it (would LOVE to see a terror bird with this level of reality!).

Quite so! Suppose there's any possibility that this show will be followed by others the way Walking With Dinosaurs was - perhaps this time working their way back from the more recent prehistoric animals to the earliest?
