Does anyone think this is a paint error or custom? Great price regardless.

Looks like worn old paint to me.  Great price? $25 Hmmmm....

Well ... unless you can wait to pick up the $8 newly cast and newly painted version when it shows up at Target stores, that is ...   ;)

EmperorDinobot

All the Battats that I am missing I will acquire through re-issues, and laugh at that $200 Acrocanthosaurus on ebay. Then I'mma find one of you guys to re-paint them for me with nice color schemes, up to the discretion of the painted. Will pay $ for the service.

Why do I get the feeling we'll see quite a few Battat figures on eBay for "cheap" prices?

I hope so. :)

The new Terra Battats are on Ebay for a very reasonable price and a very unreasonable shipping charge.

But only if you are in the US...shipping to Germany will be three times as expensive as the figures themselves.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Having found friends here and not being hooked on eBay is ONE of the advantages of having joined the DTF ;).

its almost $30 to ship to Canada too...

and then theres the possibility of eBay sticking extra "import charges" on it, as they have been doing frequently with packages entering/leaving the USA

They should be left alone in the wild so that true collectors like us can go after them. Shame on them for racking up what's available and putting them on ebay, regardless of price.

DinoLord

Well at least someone's buying a bunch from Target - more sales means more chances of further figures.

They are mass-distributed figures, there are thousands of them. Only a very impatient person would buy them from a re-seller on ebay right now.

It's easy to say that when you live near a Target store... most of us who are all the way across the world can't afford to go "hunt them". Not that I would buy those on eBay, but anyway, I can see the advantages in that.

EmperorDinobot

True, I just don't like it when that happens. I'm gonna go find out if they live in my state.

Well, if I do see them (I am surrounded by Targets though none have been found as of this writing, checked a third one earlier), let me know if you wish for me to purchase one for thee, you'll pay exactly what I would pay at target. We do not have sales tax on this state so it'll be slightly cheaper here. I work around international orders all the time and I try to keep s/h costs as low as possible. My packaging is minimal yet incredibly protective. I'm thinking about patenting the design even. I'm gonna check two more Targets tomorrow.

I may need you do do the same for me. Albany county blows for finding Dino toys. Even asking "do you have lets say a Raptor?" And they give you a lost look. How can you not help the customer look for item! :( so yeah when I get money saved i will tell you the ones i want and buy from you. Best and only way i will get em. Sad but true facts. :(

Thanks :)

Well, you're gonna have to be patient. I went to two Targets today, even asked and had no idea what I was talking about. Patience has never been my strong suit, but it appears that this time I will need it.

Now, I don't know if any of you care about Carnage Toysmith Dinos, but I am always looking for them. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Toysmith-Articulated-STEGOSAURUS-Action-Figure-Dinosaur-14-/141378141387?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20eacb3ccb

Stegosaurus. Looks a bit...faded don't you think?

Edit: Same seller is selling a buncha Kaiyodo Dinomania figures for cheap. I'mma bid on a few of those!

SBell

If you like prehistoric fish, you will want this lot. Decent price too.

Of course, only a few figures are worth it. ANd they all appear to line up nicely in this particular photo:

For international buyers...the shipping is idiotic. Because the seller uses the GSP thing.

I thought artscollectibles (formerly Linkandpin) left the business. Anyway, he doesn't ship internationally and he even blocks his auctions from international buyers.

And I just happen to like prehistoric fish (or anything, really.)  Any guesses genus for these guys. The red/yellowish guy in the foreground is an athrodire I believe, but any guesses on his yellow buddy or the little red guy behind him?

I very much appreciate your pointing out auctions like this. I get more excited over obscure figures of very obscure critters than I do for stuff like new Battats, and I'm pretty excited about the new Battats.

stargatedalek

I think the yellow one is a poorly painted pike/pickerel and the red one some sort of generic carp
