That's definitely more than retail!
Maybe so - but 'Retail' is no longer available for years now - and the item is extremely hard to find.
It's just a matter of priorities - if one wants to spend the amount of about 3 W-Dragon figures, for example,  that are commonly available,
for this one rare item, that who knows when will become available once more...

Apparently I was right - It was sold within few hours ...

Ah yeah, something is only worth what someone else will pay.   I talked to the artist who sculpted this, it's been awhile, but he made them available to one of those big European dino parks?  There was this one and a wings out version, seemed very pricey but I think they were fiberglass instead of resin?

Looks like the knockoff versions

Fembrogon

I didn't even realize there were knockoff versions of the Favorites. *blegh*

They don't seem like knock offs to me. Are they really? I ask because I still don't have those in my collection and wouldn't like to end up buying fake ones.

Real one by comparison. Colours are far more vibrant, the gradients of the dorsal  pink colouration aren't harsh on the official product. The frontal appendages aren't warped to the side as well.

The large size of those supposed Coloratas are also a sign that they're KOs. The real deal are a lot smaller, almost gashapon-sized figures. Not to mention the base being missing.

I bought these shown figures (Opabinia and Anomalocaris) a while back for my now 7 year old son. They were indeed larger than I thought them to be,
but they make great toys and their quality in sculpt, paint work, material and smell does not give them off obviously as knockoffs.

Interesting set of mainly Timmee Toys dinos I think, but tucked away in the corner, the Aurora Prehistoric Scenes Diplocaulus from the Sailback Reptile kit. It looks like Aurora original rather the Revell re-issue judging by the colour.

Same seller also has the lime green Allosaurus and a few other uncommon early 90s variants.

Are you aware of the scope of the bids which the Papo brown running Tyrannosaurus rex have historically attracted?

SidB

Assuming that it is the genuine 2011 version, of course.
