Set of six Starlux figures - bit of a chunk altogether, but divvied up it seems kind of reasonable per figure:

Last time I bought something too cheap to be true, it was. The seller had a chinese name and shipped from China. Provided a tracking number that indicated something was shipped. But it never arrived after more than 4 months. Had to ask eBay to step in and help.

Yeah, general rule of thumb is that if something is too good to be true then it definitely is too good to be true. 7$ for a figure that's traditionally 75$? Yeah, that's a little suspicious, and that's not even the worst offender.

Great deal on some old Carnegie toys with tags.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/294287645968?hash=item4484e91d10:g:BDIAAOSwDvRg9-Cl

This lot of Carnegies is good too, and has the Smilodon.

a bunch of Marx/MPC/etc figures for a decent price:

MPCs and Nabiscos for a good price together:

These three figures are supposed to have come from the famed Marx dump:

Chasmosaurus

Man is only interested in what he invents while what surrounds him is made in a much more extraordinary and complex way

Dinoguy2

Big lot ($100+) of Carnegies and Invictas. Mostly common stuff but I see the painted Invicta Iguanodon in there as well as what appears to be the rare white plated Carnegie Stegosaurus.

Not eBay, but not sure where to post this. Carnegie Euopholocephalus & Protoceratops nest, unused, in the original box. Box is fairly damaged, but I'd never even seen it before seeing this listing. https://www.mercari.com/jp/items/m65730031163/

Presumably this would be acquired through brettnj.

The museum I used to volunteer at had that same Archaeopteryx.

That's definitely more than retail!
Maybe so - but 'Retail' is no longer available for years now - and the item is extremely hard to find.
It's just a matter of priorities - if one wants to spend the amount of about 3 W-Dragon figures, for example,  that are commonly available,
for this one rare item, that who knows when will become available once more...

Apparently I was right - It was sold within few hours ...
