avatar_Fembrogon @Fembrogon and S @SidB , thanks for keeping an eye out for me and apologies for such a late response. I was looking more for the Dan LoRusso/Greg Wenzel sculpted sets and managed to find a couple here on Ebay UK so I am OK for now!

Thanks!

I have that huge plesiosaur, do you know anything about it?

Yes, those are part of a collection of 10 mini figures from the 80s that were given in packages of 7 as promotional articles of El Cigarral cheese company. There are probably one of the best vintage collections from Spain. The figures are made of very hard plastic and are most in perfect condition as the material was very resistant. I have some of them but are getting quite scarce nowadays. http://www.dinosaurcollectorsitea.com/ElCigarral.html

Universal Studios just opened a new temporary Jurassic Park themed store. They really went all out with the theming, and they have a couple mold-a-rama machines. Unfortunately I don't have plans on returning in the near future to see it, but there are a few videos online. I wanted to point it out on a more relevant thread but didn't get around to it.

I really appreciate you posting your finds here avatar_Fembrogon @Fembrogon, this thread doesn't get the attention that it used to. I think these days collectors are mostly focusing on recent releases.

That X-Plus Styracosaurus is tempting. Even though I don't own it it's one of the figures that finally broke me and got me collecting.

Fembrogon

It's my pleasure to share. I've tried to take note of anything that looks especially interesting while hunting the vintage goodies I've been collecting recently; you never know what might show up, now or never again!

Duna

I love your posts here, avatar_Fembrogon @Fembrogon please continue doing it! There are lots of wonderful collections and figures that I don't know about. As a vintage collector and a dinosaur lover I appreciate them a lot.  :D

The listing described it as 16" long and 9" tall at the frill spines. I don't recall how big the CollectA figure is.

I bought a few figures from that seller yesterday, but since you shared the link I scrolled through their items again and bought an Invicta ichthyosaurus. I must have been too excited over getting a Battat ouranosaurus the first time around and missed it.

Thanks for posting these updates, I have a few saved searches but you always post stuff I missed  :)

I've noticed a lot of 90s and early 2000s Carnegies on eBay and Mercari lately. Simultaneously, it's been an unprecedented dry spell for 80s era stuff. Other than a first gen Apatosaurus I picked up a month or two ago and a couple of first gen Parasaurolophus, I haven't seen many from the first runs go up for sale recently. Weird the kinds of trends you notice if you pay attention to these auction sites.

The Acro has been in the sub $10 range for a while now. Dan's Dinosaurs seemingly found an unopened case of them a couple years ago and sold them for retail - combined with the fact it was superceded by the WS version, and it has become one of the cheapest old Carnegies if you don't have it yet.
