Has anyone shared this yet? A seller is offering several complete sets of the rare Play Visions prehistoric amphibians, $100 each, but open to offers. I think people here would be interested. Seller has 100% rating. Would making a new thread be better to call attention to this? I don't want folks to miss out if interested.

Got the tip from a comment in a very appropriate PNSO post on instagram about Platyhystrix. Yes I ordered a set, and will share when it arrives.

Yes this seller was shared here a couple months back listing the same complete PV amphibian sets. Honestly surprised he still has some left to sell.

I received mines in tip-top condition, would highly reccomend anyone still looking for the elusive set to jump on the opportunity. Not something you'd come across everyday.

avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy Thanks for the info. I certainly don't check this thread often enough and would have missed this, had it not been for that instagram comment thankfully. A bit of relief to hear you got yours and in most excellent shape. I eagerly anticipate this arriving. Been on my wishlist for years, and never encountered them like this in the time I went looking (or individuals for that matter).

It's just too bad my Kaiyodo Acanthostega, Ichthyostega, and Eryops are all in storage. Would have been good to get comparisons with those, but hopefully once I can get them out of there in the future, I'll have to try to remember to do that.

Cheaper than late last year, where it went for almost 500-600!

With eBay, the best way to get an accurate picture for what these items are actually selling for is to check the "completed items" filter box. That will show recent auctions that have ended, both sold and unsold, and you'll see what people are paying for the item.

In the case of the Carnegie Brachiosaurus, it seems most examples have sold for between $190 and $300. Still very high, but over a hundred dollars less than the current auctions. It seems like people are just trying to raise the price arbitrarily, which could work, if people are actually willing to pay that.

So far, though, it seems they have not. With all 4 current auctions being priced at basically the same inflated asking price, I'd keep an eye on them to see if any actually sell. If they don't, some others may list it for cheaper, or these sellers could bring their prices down. I think it's mostly just inflating it to see what the market will bear.

As I mentioned in the reply to postsaurichian, I don't think any actually SOLD for that, even if they were listed at that price. Checking sold items from November/December 2022 lists 3 examples at $190, $200 and $300.

Which is again still very high.

There's this listing for a fossil of a Keichousaurus alongside a 1:1 model that seems to be custom made by the seller.
It's $950 + $100 shipping which is well a lot. But the model looks gorgeous. It doesn't seem like the seller is listing the model by itself.
Wondering if its possible to find that model by itself.
