Yeah you can get pretty much any Sideshow model for that price...although a few are listed slightly higher, they don't sell very well at all over a grand....

And it can stand on its own, thats rare in itself.

UK

And now snapped up. Good to see another UK collecter attain the highly desireable series 1 T-Rex from the Battat line.

Does anyone know which of the three rexes is the rarest? I'm guessing version one...but I could be wrong.

Invicta Hunter

I think its version 2, i never see many of them.

Seijun

Feels like I have seen more of version 2 than 1, but since each was only produced for 2 years, they could in theory be equally rare.
My living room smells like old plastic dinosaur toys... Better than air freshener!

Wow, that is cheap. But then again, given how the seller refused to post pictures, it is probably no surprise that people did not bid more.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Seriously, how hard is it take a photo? I guess he is trying to stir up as much hype as he can before he sells it, for maximum $$$.

Maybe be. But doesn't seem to be working. People are just annoyed or indifferent to the fact that he doesn't post photos. And if he's really after 1000 plus bucks for it, he's dying before he sells it.  :P

So has he actually sold it for that low price, or did he put up a reserve price?

He surely won't let it go for that (if he really has one). It is listed as 'collection only' anyway.

And here we are again--every 8 months to a year, the same person comes out (I think?), claiming to have one to sell, never putting up pictures, and then not replying to questions. I'm thinking this is more of a long-game troll situation than someone that doesn't understand online commerce.

Precisely. In the thread he (I'm assuming) started, that's pretty much how everybody responded, in particular those of us who have seen the same basic thing for many years now. And the result was the same (so I guess we're all insane if we expected a different result this time! :P)

Roselaar

Yup, that's a painted Invicta Blue Whale. Not an easy figure to find, but like its monochrome counterpart, only interesting for completist collectors as opposed to all dinosaur aficionados.

Invicta Hunter

I'll be bidding on the cheaper one, i need the painted whale.

I'm surprised you don't have it already...you're the Invicta Hunter after all >:D
