Hi,
I was doing some surfing around on Rakuten.com and I came across these two desktop models

Unfortunately they were both sold out at Rakuten :(

Does anyone have any idea if/where I could get ahold of them? Were they an Asia only release? They seem to be as uncommon as hen's teeth.

If anyone has these models and is willing to sell, shoot me a PM.

Well I am trying to find some leads and this is what I have found so far :)
http://www.healthstones.com/dinosaurstore/dinosauroldies/dinosauroldies.html
The old site says they are in stock and as you can see there are a few more 1950 Oildies, they seem to be high quality Hand made & panted Resins.

That company is now this one:
http://www.gettoys.com/

So what you could  do is make contact with that new store, which you can do here :)
http://gettoys.com/contact_us.html

Ahhh YESS! This is probably the better option and lesser hassle :)

Check this :)
http://www.bhigr.com/store/product.php?productid=237

and here's the other one :)
http://www.bhigr.com/store/product.php?productid=333

Brand seems to be Favorite Collection, now that's interesting! :)

Always a pleasure helping out a best friend

The only down slide may be the shipping & custom taxes , but yeah if I find any better option I'll let you know as soon as I possibly can 8)
Ah here's the one at Rakruten :)

And this page proves that these "Oldies ++Dinosaur study's model++" as they are called are from Favorite Collection :)

Scroll about halfway down :)

Anyhoo, this is all I could find so far  8)

Hi
Don't know if you have ordered them or not ?
But here's a great place to deal with in Holland, i got mine from them.
Good news is NO customs charges.
Think the courier postage was around £25.

hi
SORRY no .......I put them in a display cabinet , and I do want to get pics done
but I am ashamed to say my room is a MESS :-[:-[

The only one I  didn't order from the set was the 1950 T.Rex ,  I couldn't place what that
one was based on ? Obviously the 1950 Iguanodon is based on Neave Parker/Burien
paintings and the 1920 T.Rex on Charles R. Knights famous  painting.
Anyone got any ideas on what the 1950 T.Rex is based on ?

DinoFan45

Same here. I just need to get it done.

Back on topic, the statues look amazing. I kinda want the crystal palace iguanodon. It looks so... Life like? If that's the right word.

To make pics of your items is simple, just zoom in on to them and make the shot, this should not be of any hassle ::) And really this way you won't see the mess either, lol  O:-)

No worries, my room is kinda a mess too ;) It's the sign of a creative mind XD
I shall endeavour to photograph mine when it arrives.

dinosaurosaurus

Well I cleared a path to the dino statues and here are the pics.

The more I see these oldies, the more I'm tempted by them. They really are beautifully sculpted.

Sumo

They really are gorgeous! It's so nice to see these outdated reconstructions done properly.

For some reson, i find it funny that the 1920s T-Rex is more acurate (with its tail raised off the ground) then the 1950s one(looks like a man in a B-movie dino suit)
