The cherilea figures are new, inspired by avatar_Blackdanter @Blackdanter recent purchases.

I know I'm getting on and need stronger glasses ................ I'm not seeing any Cherilea figures! Wonderful collection though.

Look under the Og figures, 2nd self from the top. Above the marine display

I really enjoy your eclectic approach to collecting  :)
That Exaeretodon still belongs to my holy grails.

Blackdanter

I see them now! Coincidentally, I got new glasses yesterday. Great collection, some really interesting figures in there.

Crackington

Brilliant photos UK! Love the ammonite (Bullyland?) in the towel ring and the WWD Liopleurodon really stands out in the display.

Great to see the combination of classic figures with cutting edge newbies.

avatar_Crackington @Crackington Yes, that Ammonite with its nice resting place comes from Bullyland.  :)  Got one of them myself, but mine does not eat trilobites, lol.

Crackington

Didn't actually notice the trilobite until you pointed this out! Perhaps I need some new specs too, like Blackdanter!

The Ammonite is obviously a clean diner in any case, feasting in the bathroom!

USPS lost the diplo package for a good while. The box turned up in a very sorry state but it's contents were fortunately unaffected.

Glad that you dodged the bullet on that one, avatar_UK @UK .

I imagine you were experiencing heart failure while the package was AWOL!

It's loss was just going to be the tin lid on a series of woes I had suffered the weeks before Christmas. I had been tracking the package's arrival in the UK on the 5th December. By the 28th I'd given up. Royal Mail, Parcel Force nor USPS had any updates or clue where it was.

Then a knock at the door, a sheepish Postie handing the battered parcel with a shrug of the shoulders saying 'it was given to me in this condition'. My address was just about holding on for dear life to the brown paper the box was wrapped in.

And as an added bonus, Border force had missed the customs declaration and failed to charge me vat and their admin fee. Double celebration on Friday!

ceratopsian

Yeah!!  That was indeed a long unexplained absence. It sounds like it fell down the back of a conveyor belt/sorting table etc. Let's hope its recovery - with that added no fee bonus - presages a lucky year ahead for you!

Glad to hear, avatar_UK @UK , that you're not bitter about missing out on the vat and administrative fee.

Congrats on the Battat Diplo. I'm hoping to find mine in the loft soon. I've had it for many years now but sadly, it's been boxed away since it arrived here (in the days when postal rates from the States were very reasonable - they're insane now). I used to love winding our US cousins up about the posture of the figure on the forum back in the day. Well, that and what Spinosaurus actually looked like with the JP fan kids. I felt really guilty about paying £50 for it (hence it got squirreled away quite quickly). Have they held their value or has the bottom fallen out of the Battat madness now?

I'll interject - apparently the madness hasn't subsided. There are currently five for sale right now on Ebay: one is 300 USD, the others range from 500-749 USD. So, not yet by by means.

Gwangi

I don't have one but the Battat Diplodocus is still the best Diplodocus out there, at least in terms of charisma and shelf presence. I have those by EoFauna, Carnegie, Invicta, etc. but none of them have the mystique and personality of this figure. Congrats on acquiring one!

UK

So much heavier and more detailed than I was expecting. Bravo NHM, and a bargain too.

BlueKrono

Nice grab! International shipping was substantial, but I'm still awfully happy with this figure.

It's definitely hefty! And perfect for the fan of armored titans, or the fan of exclusives and rarities.

Great catch UK and glad to see it catching on (groan!) across the Forum!

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres - do you have it too? Just wondered how it compares to other versions of Patagotitan in terms of accuracy etc?

I should say I'm very happy with mine btw.

It's better than the Toyway figures the Museum sells. Hopefully they'll improve their whole range with figures like the Patagotitan.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.
