Great diorama UK! Also love the tiny Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy figures on the mammals shelf. They are from the original TV series too with Marvin, Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect etc. Impeccable taste

Thanks Rob. I grew up with the TV series, as a 12 year old the HHTTG series was so exciting and groundbreaking. I would have it up there with my all time favourite series. Yes it's aged, especially Zephod but even now I remember word for word.

Sunderland are doing well. What's the target for this year

Crackington

Sorry for late reply UK. Sunderland had a bit of a dip since you posted, missing our injured strikers Ross Stewart, the "Loch Ness Drogba" and Ellis Simms, on loan from Man City. We managed to win yesterday though!

I think the target is to be safe in mid-table, avoid a relegation fight and who knows have a shunt at the play-offs? We've been so rubbish last few years that I think the fans have learnt patience and are just enjoying a young team playing good football. There's also going to be another Netflix episode showing them getting promoted last season.

Good to see the Cherries doing well in the premier, 9th same as us in the Championship  :)

I've moved a few figures around and have taken a few figures into the office, taking advantage of the seasonal goodwill in house hold.

And a new visitor too which I will expand upon.

Wonderful show - thanks for the seasonal revelation. But I'm suspecting that very young children with their inquisitive fingers don't get into this inner sanctum too often!?

TooOldForDinosaurs

Very nice! Looks fantastic. Who are those Chalicotherium models (and other mammals on the same shelf) by? Never seen those :)

UK

After a successful and friendly transaction with avatar_TooOldForDinosaurs @TooOldForDinosaurs I decided to invest in the Rebor oddities
Extinction Renaissance Bronze version.

A wonderful figure and fitting replacement for the oldies Iguanodon.I think I prefer the bronze version, it feels heavier and has a real presence. It also has a metallic feel. Looks good next to the marble version. My only concern is the arm holding the skull feels very flimsy. Is this unique to mine or do others have the same issue?

A big shout out to avatar_Everything_Dinosaur @Everything_Dinosaur , Sue is very efficient and well packaged.

They are all confused to why they have been teleport through different time periods  :D

Crackington

Yes, could be a particularly mad episode of Primeval!

Love the placerias herd avatar_UK @UK, but is that a model of Dick King-Smith's Water Horse in the pond too?

UK

Being an old g*t I've seen a fair amount of changes and discoveries in our favorite collecting hobby. I've been fortunate to track down another book which shaped my young encyclopedic knowledge of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals. A few excerpts below, very quaint and wrong but cutting edge when I was 6 lol.

My favorite bit is the dedication to the prospective owner. Brilliant. And of course no arguments on proto feathers here, the brontosaurus was firmly in the swamp too.

Justin_

That is still one of my favourite books. I had it in the early '70s but got another a few years ago. I love the timeline across the bottom of the pages. There's something very warm about the illustrations and the detail in the plants is amazing.

A rare purchase, the vintage Bullyland Cave Bear. Wonderfully charming figure pictured with the little known and scarce Bullyland Caveman.

Congrats on that special addition! Looks like a guy in a bear costume  :))

Just spotted these beautiful bottom row figures again:

Who are they by? And especially the green circled one? :)

I know I'm getting on and need stronger glasses ................ I'm not seeing any Cherilea figures! Wonderful collection though.

I've always been challenged to find ways to display my marine reptiles, avatar_UK @UK , so I found your way of handling them interesting.
