I'm trying to develop my model painting skills, so when my rather poorly painted Guanlong arrived I took it as an excellent opportunity...

Blade-of-the-Moon

Wow..you managed to make that figure much more desirable!

Manatee

If only that was the actual coloration for the model. In my opinion, that one is easily the worst WS model of the more recent releases, but you just made it SO much better!

triceratops83

That's a world of difference. Good job!
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

DinoLord

Really nice work, especially with the eyes.

Nebuloid

That looks great ! Nice work on the teeth as well.

Thank you all so much! It was one of my favourite dinosaurs and I liked the pose (though the feet look a little too big in my eyes) so I knew get hold of this model eventually.  Hopefully I'll be painting the CollectA Diplodocus soon and I'll also upload some pictures of my repainted Deltadromeus.

Megalosaurus

Very nice.
I specially like the head and neck.
Sobreviviendo a la extinción!!!

Some more repaints! First is the Carnegie Deltadromeus which I did a very long time ago (before the guanlong)

Second is my new safari suchomimus which I painted today :)

Dinomike

Great stuff as always! Especially love the way you paint the eyes!

Nice love that suchominus  :D

Tallin

Thank you! I often end up having to redo eyes as my hand always shakes as I try to apply the miniscule amount of paint!

Blade-of-the-Moon

The Suchomimus is stellar ! You should post a few pics to Safari's facebook page. :)

Tallin

Whoa really? :D

I wouldn't know how to go about it haha...

Blade-of-the-Moon

If you have a facebook it's easy enough.  Here is Safari's : https://www.facebook.com/safariltd

Tallin

Just post the pics straight on to their main page?

(haha, you can tell I don't use facebook much...)

Tyto_Theropod

You have some real skill there - digging the Suchomimus. As for the Guanlong, I'd be buying it right now if that was it's factory paint. You might even have persuaded me to buy one anyway so I can have a go at repainting it myself ;)

Thank you so much! It turns out quite nicely with a little dry-brushing - the nice protofeather texture is obscured a bit by the nasty factory paint-job...
