If anything it's the scales that are the issue, not the colour. ;)

Assuming pelycosaurs weren't scaly it's even more unlikely they had colour patterns resembling modern reptiles. So to be precise, the overall reptilian look (scales + colour) might be the issue.

As you can see, on DTF there are many threads about personal collections.
Some people like hi-end models, some like DinoRiders, some like Jurassic Park toys, some like commercial figures as Collecta/Safari, some like vintage toys and some like to repaint their figures.
It's a personal choice.
There are collection threads that I really like while others not.
But I never said to someone else that there is an issue with a figure that he/she add into a collection because I think it's impolite (and because I don't like to judge other collections).
That's my attitude.
It's not about criticism : it's about courtesy.
Best Regards  :)

The coloration of the Dunkleosteus is really good! It looks really different from most other Dunkleosteus I've seen.

Yes, Paleozoo figures are a bit pricey but they are worth the cost..  :)

I didn't say there's an issue with your figure, my original comment was about the colour, where I even said the sculpt is gorgeous. I used the word "issue" in response to the other post where stargatedalek actually used the word "issue". So, if you are offended by the word "issue" regarding your figure you must talk to stargatedalek, not me.

But that's nitpicking by my side, I would say that me and stargatedalek were just having an exchange of opinions regarding Sphenacodon, and it's been like three posts in total, we did not derail the thread with an endless and pointless argument. I didn't use any offensive language of sort, and I didn't judge your collection, I only expressed my opinion on that particular figure, and only in regard of its colour. I don't think it's impolite to have an opinion and express it with education, I rather think it's impolite to tell people how they must behave.

But anyways, that's not a big problem, since you are practically asking I won't comment in your collection thread anymore. Sorry if you feel offended or anything like that, it wasn't my intention.

Best regards.

Silvanusaurus

The Paleozoo figures look stunning! I really think I might have to save up for the Tiktaalik, especially seeing your images of the product. It looks bigger than i imagined too.

Killekor

I have the Bullyland Mammut too!

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

This time it's not about new figures.

During late 70' and first 80' the NHM of Milano made a postcards collection about its expositions.
They are vintage postcards now.
Here some scanned pictures from my collection.
I hope you like them:

Those postcards are fantastic! I really love the ones that are made as 3d models and flats over painted backdrops. That makes for a very interesting realistic effect for the final postcard photos. Do you keep them in an acid free photo album? I dont think I could keep myself from handling them all the time if I didnt do something like that haha! They are beautiful!

Also, I like this colorful rendition you got of the Sphenacodon. Its definitely got a more reptilian look to it than the one I made for you. :)
I'm seeking Orsenigo and other interesting vintage dinosaurs. Contact me if you can help with my search!

Oh! Fantastic! I have lived in Milan for a time, and i have return for a week every year, but, unfortunately, before i starting collecting dinosaurs, so i have (and i Will not,  return in Milan, because in this last years Milan have become a very ugly city) never go in the Milan NHM, or "Museo di storia naturale di Milano" in italian  ;)

Thank you.
Yes, the postcards are in a photographic album.
They are from 1976 to 1984 (from my childhood...).

About Sphenacodon, Mr. Garratt did it for Urzeitshop in Germany, one in green (reptilian look) and one in brown (mammalian look).
The brown one was already sold out when I saw the website.
But, to be honest, I prefer the green, reptilian one because I already have the one you did with a mammalian look (and I like it too); it's only a different interpretation about the same animal..

And your new Cothylorincus is great.
You really should cast your creations.
Regards.
