Let's see...hasn't got the update about Brontosaurus? Check! Calls T. rex "T-Rex"? Check! Mistakes Tupuxuara for Pteranodon on purpose? Check!

CityRaptor

Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

I don't think so. It's on obvious tactic to attract more people, serious collectors as well as the uneducated public. It is not always a sign of ignorance, even if that is often found in other auctions.

I agree with CityRaptor, it makes sense to include popular words in the listing. Besides, these aren't actually false, with the exception of "T-Rex". Apatosaurus is related (kin) to Brontosaurus, and Tupuxuara is a pterosaur, related to Pteranodon :)

Reviving this topic with two misplaced adverts ???

This has been recently advertised as '12pcs/set Kids Gift Jurassic Play Model Toy Plastic Mini Dinosaur Zoo Animal'. The thing that makes this hilarous is the fact none of the items in it are Dinosaurs or Jurassic.

Not to mention this was advertised. It didn't have the words 'dinosaur','prehistoric' or anything related in the advert:

Or it could be STS trying to take over as dominant forum (No offense to STS)
