Look what I came across at a little independent toy shop in Manotick, Ontario, today. They appear to be of Chinese origin.

I didn't buy any of them; I already have my 2015 dinosaur budget set. Some of those colour schemes are nifty though.

are they solid plastic like the originals?

It looks like they're being sold right next to the originals, judging by your last photo. Isn't it interesting that most knock-offs use some kind of copy of the JP logo? I saw a stegosaurus headband last night at the local theater with a mock logo as well.

They were made of plastic, although it was hard to gauge the weight due to the packaging. And yes, they were indeed being sold right next to a big Papo wheelie display containing all the real product.

Well, more bootlegs. Also seems like the Spino is based on the Papo but with the colors of the Schleich Mini. I wouldn't buy them due to various reasons already stated in the thread about bootlegs.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Is there anything printed on them?

Some of the colors are really cool. I was kind of hoping that Papo would release a Spino with a straightened neck.

Take a look a bit closer! It's not The World of Dinosaurs but Pinosa Urs by ZHONG JIE TOYS

You can't find any markings on the belly of the figure.

I was unable to read the name of the animal from the package. It is written in microscopic text.

But when compearing with Collecta's Stegosaur everything was clear. Same animal, different color. Like most of chinasaurs are made two parts. So is this one. In the middle there is clearly visible seam where two parts are glued together.

It's not the perfect copy. Dimensions may vary. But overall close lookalike. Material is a cheap reused plastic that will break very easily.

that knock off stego looks very trashy next to the CollectA original

The Dinosaurs on the back of the pacakge look like they are part of a diorama.

The diorama is ripped from this piece of artwork by Swordlord3d

Also the "Tyrannosaurus" is a Luis Rey illustration.

I'm curious - what store are those photos from?  Wouldn't be The Dinosaur Farm by any chance?

No. It's a mom and pop tourist stop shop in the Mojave Desert on the way to Vegas.
