I finally got a bunch of my figures set up in a proper display case, so I figured I'd share how it looks so far! I'm still thinking of a good way to try and elevate the back rows for better viewing...

These are most of my ~1:40 scale figures, though I left a few out if they're duplicate species or if I'm planning on getting duplicate species in the near future (*cough*Battat Carnotaurus*cough*).

Looks like my Carnegie Giraffatitan is too tall, gonna have to see if I can adjust the shelves...

Wonderful collection, old battats is a tresure  ;).
[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

That's a great collection, Dinoguy2!  Thanks for sharing photos of it!  I look forward to seeing photo updates! ;)  I can see you've got a Carnegie shelf and a Battat shelf, but what made you decide what figures to put on the third shelf?

I agree! Very nice collection you have going there. The older Carnegie's have such charm, I think. :)

Strict 1:40 guy? Or do you just have the non-1:40 stuff in a different location?
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

I have a few non-1:40s which I usually get if I like the model, plus a lot of older stuff I got back in the '80s. I have those scattered among bookshelves etc.

The third shelf started as Wild Safari but I don't have a lot of those so I added in other old Safari/Carnegie stuff plus my one 1:40 CollectaA (Mosasaurus) and the Marx caveman I use for scale.

Me too! I'm keeping them in here until I ever replace them with a newer version of the species. My original idea for the display case was to keep it exclusively for 99% accurate figures, but I like the older Carnegie and Battat figures so much (especially the fully painted ones rather than dyed plastic) that I couldn't resist showing them off.

Working more on the arrangement, and dug some additional figures out of the garage, and added my new Battat Carnotaurus! Left some room on the Battat shelf for future acquisitions. Last pic is everything that's not in the display case, either on various bookshelves around the house or in a box. Not pictured is my whole DinoRiders collection, which I have to pull out of storage and photograph one of these days...

Still trying to figure out what to do with that third shelf, need to get some extra stands to put in there.
