Tail is UP !

Hoorah!
( i just now realized how MASSIVE that thing is)  :o

It's really hard to appreciate the sheer size of dinosaurs without standing toe to toe with them..I can't wait to see the first kid's face that rounds the corner and sees him !
Two years ago,I used to go to a dinosaur exposition in Madrid for Christmas. In there, there was a life-sized animatronic replica of a Tyrannosaurus rex.It fed on a Triceratops corpse. It raised up the head and then, scavenged. My dad made a photo of me and the T.rex.It's a strange sense when the photo was made,I felt like it was going to eat me lol  :))

Aww ! That's awesome !   Was it an exhibit by Billings ? This is their Rex :

That's the reactions we're hoping to get even if ours isn't animated it will be HUGE to kids..really thrill them we hope.  I used to feel the same way when going to see the old Dinamation exhibits when I was a kid. Now with each dinosaur we raise I get a bit of that feeling back again. :)

Here's a pic of the arm getting the upper part done :

I hope we get more donations to finish this guy. We're also trying to raise funds for a juvenile Allosaurus costume, known as Little Al , to use to promote the Park.
Can't remember actually  :-\
I remember its measurements though,it was 14 meters long and about 4-5 meters height. There upstairs were as tall as its head  :P Yeah, that was a very peculiar feeling.

Blade-of-the-Moon

The Billings Rex was based on the old Dinamation one.. for some reason the guy's crotch comes almost all the way down to it's ankles..but it's a very impressive piece of engineering.  I saw it in 1993 ..took up the whole center of  a local Mall. Really awesome. I would be left there to stare at it while mom shopped .. lol

Well we moved a few supports and he's still standing !

Thanks guys ! I appreciate the support.  We had a devil of a time getting that head up, took two tries with 4 of us..lots of back pain but I think it's worth it for the look on kid's faces ! :)

We are still looking for donations to assist ! Even a dollar will help us get this beast built ! Our Park operates totally on donations so we are basically free for everyone to come and enjoy and maybe even learn a bit ! Paypal donations can be made to : [email protected] or use our GO Fund Me page here : http://www.gofundme.com/357zus

It's a couple months off, but we'll get there ! Hopefully we receive enough donations to get him finished.

We're also working with another company to produce an Allosaurus mascot costume affectionately called " Little Al " to use for parties, parades, and advertising when we can take him for a walk down the street ! ;)

Post pics when Little Al is done!

Probably a stupid Question but.  Are you going to feather that Rex?  :P

If not that fine.

I've been asked that question a few times. We may add a few feathers here and there..but it would be impossible for just the two of us to do the entire body. We hand cut each feather so it takes awhile. I'm still cutting feathers for the Velociraptors...ugh.   There is also no direct proof of feathers on tyrannosaurs.. though I like the look of them with and without so either works for me.

I bet you have clocked the T. rex at thirty miles an hour.  ;)
Great work, I can't wait to see this big guy finished!
