Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!

Our audio/video guy came down to the shop and pitched me the idea..he said why not do it now? So I just grabbed a few pieces and winged it.. lol

If there is anything else you'd like to see us talk about here or discuss let me know.

Nah..I had two vacation days earlier this month ..first I had all year..but a break's a break right ? lol

I get this head done I'm moving on the flippers and the Nothosaur head.  The Apato is all outdoor work now so I might as well work while I'm watching tv, eating supper or playing on the computer ..sometimes all at once..  ;D

Great looking Allosaurus!

Thanks! It was created by our own Andrew Sides with input from me. :)

I noticed a little bird decided to make it's night home in our juvenile Brachiosaur's mouth.  Similar birds have roosted in our dinos at night though I wonder..how many times did a sauropod dinosaur like this get the unexpected bit of protein with their greens ?

Looks great Blade!

Thanks!

I added a little more foam for muscle and test fitted the eyes last night. I think this head is ready for coating then teeth. :)

On to the Nothosaur!

Pachyrhinosaurus

I already have the ridges in place to hold them! :)  I wouldn't be much of a DTF'er if I forgot that detail.. lol

That actually brings up a good point. I'm not sure just how much of the body we will be making yet.

I have a mosa animated concept :

I'm actually considering abandoning this idea altogether  and just create the full body piece.

Not sure on the color..yet.

Concavenator

Well the color should be black or at least dark colors,a study suggesting that came a while ago.

A dark coloration is possible..maybe something like a tiger shark ? That way I an work a pattern into it.

I've heard these type of tests they do may not be indicative of the entire animal's coloration though as only a small part was sampled.

Sketching out the Nothosaurus head now.

fabricious

Just an idea: you could make half the animal (as in your sketches on the right side), but have it jump 'backwards', like dolphins and whales do, maybe? ;) And have a 'free floating fish' above it's jaws, so it looks like it's jumping to get a treat.
Great progress in any case, I am really curious to see the finished mosasaur!
