Ia! Bladeofthemoon fhtagn! May Yog Sothoth favour you with fortune so that this may happen!
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Ah if only... lol

We barely get enough funds to keep the dino park improving..but for the cost it works so far.  ^-^

I learned last night our dear friend reporter Jim Conrad passed away yesterday. You rarely got to see him but his voice was very familiar to locals. He did both interviews with me and got us the publicity we needed , his visits were fun , informative and he put you at ease as well. Just a great all around fellow. I was thinking the other day how much he was going to love the Apatosaurus. He really was excited to see Stan when he was completed.

Thanks bud, it was really sudden and he did so much for us. I think I might name the Mosasaur
"Conrad" for him .

Somehow that sounds like such a natural name for a Mosasaur. Must be something in my subconscious - just seems right.

Will the aquatic exhibit be viewable from the top as well? If so you could pull off a mosasaur feeding like in the Jurassic World trailer. Snatching at a Nyctosaurus, maybe?

Maybe in one area if  I can get a projector effect off the ground. I need someone to design marine reptiles gliding under the surface of water, we then will project the effect into a faux rock pool.  I wanted to another from the side as well.

My basic concept is an under water grotto, you start off at the surface where the first projector effect is..in the distance past a water fall you can see lighting strikes over the ocean.  The sound of waves crashing is all around. Then you turn a corner and are underwater viewing area sort of a like an aquarium minus the glass. Our Mosa is swimming around a rocky corner trying to catch a small shark. As you continue on you encounter Plesiosaurs fighting over an octopus, and a Nothosaur on the hunt for his next meal. If  I can get someone to design the video the next project effect shows a Liopleurodon or Kronosaurus swimming in shadows underwater..then one attacks the viewing area.

I haven't yet worked out the videos but the rest is workable and we are working on it when we can't the Apato. First I have to build the structure.

It seems like quite the ambitious project! It should look great when it's finished if you go along with this plan.

Yeah, Sounds like a ride at Universal Studios or something. Which has nothing on this.

We thrive on ambitious. ;) lol ;D

Let's that's all what I'm planning to do. What we can do all depends on the donations we receive, right now we're looking at around a 20'x40' structure. That was scaled down a little from a 30' x 40' one. It should be around the size of our Velociraptor enclosure.

Please, you have to slide down that like Fred Flinstone.

lol I thought about it for a second..then considered just how much that wire would hurt... ;)

Are you gonna do the diplodocid iguana scutes running down the spine?

It certainly would! lol  I don't think we will in this case, It's just so hard to get the details right and I can't reach where I need to . So  I leave it to my buddy..he's good..but not with the artistic bits..his words. lol

I did update the head with a little more detail :

That might hurt even more!

Very nice, love the peaceful aspect of the eyes. You should be doing work for museums.

EDIT - AAARRGH! I see Killer Klowns From Outer Space! One of only two movies to give me nightmares as a child. (the other was the Blob.) And I grew up on movies like the Thing. BAM! You got any Thing related creations?

Thanks. Her bellow here is more of a gentle warning as she will be joined by two juveniles later.
If they asked I  certainly would. :)

IT did nothing for you? lol I love KKfOS..the old school fx work and the creatures themselves are awesome..the fact almost everything in the film was made from everyday household objects is also a huge plus to me creatively speaking.  The Thing I didn't get into as much..I think I went more with Alien and Predator but I haven't made anything exactly for them. I did make some life size alien eggs for a haunt in GA though. Shame they didn't want a Queen Alien..that would have been a project.

Oh yeah, it's a great film, I appreciate anything done with practical effects. Just creeped me the hell out as a child. Chiodo Brothers did the effects, right? The only good "bad" movies came before the nineties, because there's always a charm knowing people actually MADE this stuff. This is why I hate the craze over things like Sharknado. There's no fun in a bunch of geeks making cheap computer effects. GoodBad should be unintentional, naïve, not cynical.
As for IT, Pennywise never bothered me. He was more amusing, like Freddy Krueger. The Stephen King book was far more terrifying.

Yep the Chiodos, they did some excellent work. I didn't know just how much of an effect they had on my childhood til a few years ago..they did a lot of dinosaur related work too.

I love Tim Curry as an actor, as Pennywise he was excellent. Though the book is SO much better.

My niece and I get a kick out of his performance in Congo. I can't wait to see the baby Apatosaurs!

I've liked him in so many things, Rocky Horror, Home Alone 2, even Muppets Treasure Island as Long John Silver..he made a great pirate.

I have the heads foamed..just haven't coated them yet. Soon! Putting all my daytime/outdoor effort into the momma. :)

freehand sketch of a stegosaurus head, I think it looks good but if anyone notices any major issues let me know. head is 28" for a roughly 30' animal.
