I just saw the picture of your allosaurus head, great work. I think it is absolutely an improvement using these eyes. The zombie elephant looks interesting, too.

Thanks, I'm quite grateful the encouragement to give these a try. I do wish they had more of the different styles in larger sizes but you can't argue with the results like this.  I'll be adding more scales and such as well with the vinyl. I do hope to get enough epoxy eventually to do an entire dino with it. Probably something small first. :)

You like " Mary " eh ?  I admit she is another experiment of mine that seems to going fairly well. I'm not good with motors and animations and getting this girl to move her head and mouth has certainly a learning experience.  Eventually perhaps I'll have some animated dinos.

Jetoar

cool ornithomimosaur friend, I like it.
[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

Thank you. :)

It's difficult doing your favorite dinosaur..I keep looking at it wanting to do changes and tweaks. I guess that's why he wasn't my very first dinosaur..I subconsciously knew how how anal I was going to be..lol

I understand.  I presume you can tell I share your preference for Allosaurus by my avatar.

To quote Jack Sparrow.. " I did notice . "  lol ;D  It's great Al has such a following..not as strong as T-Rex ( though it has every right to be ) but no less impressive !

Another update, I'm adding a scaly " lip " around the mouth, nothing huge just a line like in my juvenile Gorgosaurus.  Still sculpting the tongue. Shame that taxidermy shop doesn't sell HUGE bird tongues..lol

Struthiomimus progress , last pics before I start feathering the rest.

Hi Blade, how would you like your allosaur drawing posed?

Hi Blade, how would you like your allosaur drawing posed?

Man..so many choices ! Off the top of my head.. how about a mom and two kids ? Reminds me of my own mom and my brother..the three of us were always doing things together and going places.

If that's too much though I understand..maybe just pick something cool ? I know AoR : The Hunt had a TON of cool scenes in it.  ^-^

Pics of Struthio's tail feathered up :

I added the tongue to the Allosaurus head and did a little teeth switching about.  I had some that looked way too big on the lower jaw near the front.

Oh wow, Blade: I love the feathers for the tail! I can't wait to see the whole thing finished. It's going to be so fuzzy. :D

Allosaurus head done..I think.

I had actually finished it already and noticed in Scott Hartman's Allo musculature drawing that I had forgot the ear bone area and musculature there under it in my initial design . So I had to add that.  Then I saw how under muscled my lower jaw was and so had to beef it up.   I am quite pleased at how it turned out so far.
