Clowns have always tried to eat me.  :(
I'd love to help, but Tennesee is not too close to Utah..
Part-time genius!

Look on the brightside they haven't succeeded yet right ? No missing toes or fingers ?  ^-^

True, but consider it an open offer should the opportunity ever present itself. :)

Been slow going with other projects but I'm finally working a bit on this Struthiomimus again. Hope to have it coated if not painted by the end of December. I've also been working on a Zombie Elephant for The FUNHOUSE, but I don't suppose anyone here wants to see that..right ? ;)

Himmapaan

Oh, go on.  ;)

Struthio coming along very nicely.

And at first glance, I mistook (?)your dog in the background there for a rabbit.  :))

Patrx

The Struthio looks great so far! Do you plan to include wing feathers, too?

Not particularly, since I absolutely hate zombies. However, I shan't stop you from posting it if others wish to see it.

Blade-of-the-Moon

lol as a Chihuahua she does have the ears for it. ;D I'm really surprised she sat outside with me today..I was wrapped up in my jacket and kept turning the heat gun on myself every once in awhile .. ;)

The Struthio..I could have what's there completely layered in a day or two if I would stop getting sidetracked by other projects..but even once that was done the feathers have to cut out and laid on..ugh. heh

Alright here's a pic of the zombie elephant so far, it's what I needed the model for :

Motor has been added for head movement, I finished coating the eyes and installing the red lights for them. If you watch my page on FB you'll notice the head has been lowered into a more common position , which almost knocked my arm out of the socket, but it looks more threatening to me really. Will be working on the lower jaw and teeth soon.

Ugh..do I HAVE too ? lol  ;D  I suppose I could add longer arm feathers if they have proof of them. I started this before it was even certain ornithomimids had feathers at all. So I was a little conservative about the extent. My original plan was to only continue down the neck over the back and stop just shy of the tail tip leaving the legs un-feathered.

Well I posted one pic up there. You can't tell much about it really being a zombie yet...maybe the eyes ?

There is a little known local story around here about a circus elephant named Mary that went on a rampage and ended up being hanged from a rail car for paying customers. The whole ordeal was terrible and the town which took part doesn't want to be known for it and just cover it up.  There have been a song and a play and one infamous photograph though..I decided to play on it as well and have " Mary " here come back for our haunted attraction.

a zombie elephant..... run..... RUN.........RUUUUUUUN  ^-^.
[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

Allosaurus update :

Really have to thank Ingenia for the talk into using taxidermy eyes. These are Lion eyes, had a really terrible temptation to use more reptilian / slanted pupils but I think these look more avian when used for this animal. :)

tyrantqueen

Great work on the head, it looks very Charlie McGrady influenced to me...

But then again that could just be because I'm obsessed with his dinos ;)

Are you going to give it lips, or a toothy overbite?

Blade-of-the-Moon

HUh..it could be..I've looked at a lot of his pieces in the past. It's also possible we just used the same skull references though his skull looks a bit shallower than mine in that image. I went by Scott Hartman's skeletals and some others that showed the angles from top, bottom and front.

Generally I'm not a huge proponent of lips too reptilian. This one won't have them, but I will be opening the mouth as well a bit so it probably won't matter a whole lot in the end.. lol :)

Wow those lion eyes look great!  Did they come with the eyelids around them?  How easy were they to install?

Gryphoceratops

These just keep getting more and more awesome!  Its also impressive how quickly you seem to work.

Thanks, it was a little limiting, this was the largest eye of this kind they had about 34mm, but only 10.00 or so.  They did not, all you get is the set of eyes with concave backs..but they quite durable. I built up the epoxy around the eye myself.   Not too bad. I had a hole cut in the foam sculpture and i pushed them through from the back til they were sitting right where i wanted them. I then added hot glue around the back to hold them still while i applied the epoxy pieces. Once the epoxy hardens it locks them in place.

Thank you. It's never fast enough for me though..lol

Currently I'm doing the Allosaurus and Kentrosaurus head work, body work on the Struthio and I'm working on the Zombie Elephant /Calliope.  Luckily these aren't on any schedule but my own.. lol

ingenia

I just saw the picture of your allosaurus head, great work. I think it is absolutely an improvement using these eyes. The zombie elephant looks interesting, too.
