I struggle a bit with lighting, proportions and details but I love drawing dinosaurs so:

EDIT:  Thanks for the feedback and kind comments.

EDIT: Added Dakotaraptor painting

Kayakasaurus

They look great! You're very talented. I think I like the last one best

Halichoeres

These look very good, especially the pair of Acros. What are your media?

Mamasaurus

These look great! My favorites are the underwater scene and the pair of acros. What medium do you use?  :)

Thanks, buds.  Lets see who guesses the media I used first, heh.    ;D

Mamasaurus

Lol, in that case I would say digital  :)

Yeah, some of it definitely looks digital, but the Allosaurus for instance looks more like...maybe watercolor pencil?

Allosaurus one is totally photoshop painted with the regular ol' brush tool.  I suppose not using specialty brushes and having some experience with drawing via traditional media might help give it a more organic, hand-crafted look, if it seems to have that quality.  Don't recommend that method (starting the painting on a computer) though unless you have some experience and already developed your traditional media painting style to carry over into photoshop.  Sketching something out on paper and scanning it in and painting over it in PS would probably be fast as well and more intuitive.  I made that back when I had more free time to learn how to draw on computers and whatnot, which in retrospect was a slower way to go about it.

I love the Das vs Styracs and the Acros! You got a DA page by any chance, and/or FB? Cheers!

Everything_Dinosaur

It's all about developing your own style, but from what we can see, these illustrations are very well conceived.

Thanks so much for the kind words, E_D!   ^-^

ak: Don't have a FB page yet since I just posted literally every dinosaur illustration I've done that isn't a sketch or a doodle in a notebook or something, lol.  Plan on making one after knocking out about 20 or so paintings and get a gallery going to showcase a lot of stuff.

These are amazing!!! I'd love to see some feathering on them. Who am I to complain, you are a much better artist than I am.
This is my signature.

Have been drawing dinosaurs for quite a while and took some drawing classes in college that helped quite a bit, but still aiming to get better and always love painting the most fascinating animals to have ever lived on earth.

Here's what I have in mind for the next illustrations.  Any comments or requests welcomed.

- image of three or four adult Dakotaraptors (complete with feathers) feasting in front of a sunset upon a Tyrannosaur they managed to find as prey.  Maybe a dead and/or injured raptor or two to show signs of a fight, but mainly want to illustrate the insane ferocity of arguably the most lethal predator known to have roamed the Hell Creek formation.

- image of Pterosaurs (not sure which ones yet) on the edge of a cliff overlooking a Jurassic or Cretaceous ocean with stuff going on in the distance (pterosaurs feeding, maybe even a large marine reptile, etc).  Want it to feel like a vista and also show how Pterosaurs lived.

- Spinosaurus at the edge of the water, maybe getting into it with another large therapod or just walking out to lay in the sun.  Want to attempt showing how they might have got around on land, because to me its still sorta puzzling but trying to visualize it in painting form might make it clearer for me.

- A couple of Allosaurs (favorite dinosaur!) with a more accurate depiction than the one in the original post, in battle with a Camarasaurus or Stegosaurus.

Going to start up the next painting tonight or tomorrow but will still be powering through all of them soon I think.

Dinomike

I like your ideas for future paintings, but if the T. rex in the first one is an adult then that'd probably be a tad unrealistic...

Viking Spawn

These look fantastic!  Please keep them coming!  :)

Meso-Cenozoic

These are really quite stunning! Yes, please share more when you have them!
