Nice. Ordered one :)

That Tyrannosaurus came out extremely nice! Great review as well, Simon. Is there a general interest for 1/30 models on Shapeways? I can't recall seeing the exact scale with dinosaur models before, but I might just have missed it.

Is there a list anywhere of the different species in the game to know if we would want to get one?

There's more information on the forum.

Will you be painting the T-rex on your own, Simon?

Maybe.  Right now there's no chance for me to find the time. Eventually I hope to.

Well if you ever get around to doing it I'd love to see pictures once you're finished  ;D

Does requesting uploads in specific scales apply to his other models too or just the new ones for the game?

Simon

Well, he told me he would be happy to upload any of the models, so drop him a PM and ask him.  I am amazed at how willing he is to do this, I imagine it takes some time for each model, but as an artist I am sure he appreciates that there are dino-fans who would like a piece of his work to display ...

It hasn't arrived yet.  Don't worry, I will review it as soon as I have it in my hot hands ...  ;)

Anybody try the White Acrylic material?    The 1:30 Ceratosaurus is available in this material, and it does not seem too expensive.   but have any of you bought in this medium?

I always loved the look of these models.  However, I don't own any.  If they would come fully painted and finished, they would have a loyal buyer in me.  I have no real painting skills and don't want to pay a ton extra to have someone do one right for me.   Especially when there are so many great sculpts in this series.  I would need a second mortgage for a cool collection.

Shapeways just informed me that the Spinosaurus was too delicate to be "printed".  Hopefully Manuel will be able to fix the design.  *SHEESH*

I will tell him maybe to adjust the position of the model (It is standing on it's nose when it prints) And I will also have him make the walls thicker. Im sorry that happened Simon! :(
