I've been wanting to share my recent art with more people who are actually into dinosaurs, haha, so here we go!

I try to follow current views on how dinosaurs looked, but my style isn't the typical hyper-realistic type that most paleoart is.  My main aim for my artwork is to give it a stylized, storybook type feel with some rough, traditional looking charm to it.  (Everything I draw is digital.)  I love working with many colors, so some of the color choices I pick for my dinosaurs probably aren't realistic, but are purely aesthetic.
Also, a small disclaimer: I'm not an expert, so there are sure to be some mistakes.  I love illustrating dinosaurs in environments, but I'm not sure if I'm drawing correct looking plants or not!  I hope you enjoy my stuff, regardless.

I'm more comfortable sharing links to my deviantART account, I hope you don't mind!  Oh, and please do not repost or share my art on other websites without my permission, thank you!  :)

A Cryolophosaurus resting.  I messed up the placement of the crest, though, and it's further back!  :-[

Newt

Very nice! These have a nice classic feel to them. I think you could make a much better dinosaur book for young people than most of what's out there today.

Patrx

Wow, these are neat! I really like your style. They really do look like traditional watercolors from a picture book. I think my favorite of these is probably the Diabloceratops, very atmospheric.
I don't know about the plants, but the animals all look quite up-to-date as far as I can tell :)

Paleona

Thank you, Newt!  I wish there were more accurate, but stylized dino art out there.  I'm thinking of sharing these with my niece sometime, who has recently gotten into Jurassic World / Park.  I'll have to draw an up-to-date Velociraptor to show her that the real animal was much different. :)

And thank you very much, Patrx!  I'm glad you like the Diablo- I'm pretty happy with how that one turned out.  Thanks again for the nice comment. :)

Thank you for the very sweet comments, everyone!   I'm really happy and flattered that you guys like my art.

Currently I'm working on something that isn't dinosaur related (horses!), but I'm thinking after that I'll tackle a Shantungosaurus.  I really love hadrosaurs, so I want to draw more species of them.  :)

Jetoar

Your Illustrtaions are really beautiful  ^-^.
[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

Thank you, Jetoar  :)  More soon, hopefully.

Mamasaurus

Such beautiful illustrations! You certainly achieved the look and feel of a child's picture book, and they have that charm of traditional watercolor.

I am looking forward to seeing more of your work  :)

Pachyrhinosaurus

I thought they were watercolors at first.  :D They're all nice but I like the cryolophosaurus the best, with the colors and quills.

Thank you very much, Mamasaurus (such a cute user name!) and Pachyrhinosaurus!  I'm glad to hear that my stuff still has a bit of a traditional look to it.

I've just finished the non-dinosaur illustration I was working on, so I'll probably be starting something else prehistoric soon.  Definitely want to draw some more hadrosaurs, and possibly an Oryctodromeus in or near its burrow. :)  I'm sure that's been done to death for that species, but I think that's so cool that fossils have been found in their "home".

Paleona

I just have something small I'd like to share today.  :)  This afternoon I digitally colored this tiny pencil sketch I did while enjoying the warmer weather~

A pink Deinocheirus!  :))  A hump for "hump day", lol. (Wednesday)

Mamasaurus

So cute! I love "messy" sketches. I always love seeing your illustrations, and they always make me smile.   ^-^

Thank you, Mamasaurus! :))  I've really been embracing the "messy" approach this year, it's just so enjoyable.  Hopefully I'll have something a bit bigger to share soon.

Viergacht

Your work is so lovable! Also, I followed you on DA:)

Paleona

Thanks, Viergacht, glad you like it!  Here's a very messy work in progress of something I just started this rainy afternoon  :)
