How these figures look together? [Comparison Thread]

Yeah, thanks for the photos. Having a better look at the actual figures helps in the descision making in regard to purchases; what am I talking about? - I am going to order them all anyway! They look very impressive all together in group as well. A lot of companys are doing themselves a disservice by putting out such heavily retouched promo images of the new range when, as far as I am concerned, images such as these would give me a better idea of what I am ordering and make me want to order them right from first sight. Thanks again for posting.

danmalcolm

If somebody has them on hand, could you post a comparison shot with the dinostoreus ankylosaurus and another well-known ankylosaur? Thanks

Megalosaurus

Thank you Bokisaurus!
I was about to ask for the comparisons you already provided.
Now I'm so glad the Safari Regaliceratops is desent sized.

Sobreviviendo a la extinción!!!

Neosodon

I was going to pass on the safari Regalaceratops because I already had collecta's but I just couldn't pass on a figure with such amazing detail and quality.

Finally a rain of molten rock starts to fall out of the darkening sky - this is the end of the age of the dinosaurs. The Comet struck the Gulf of Mexico with the force of 10 billion Hiroshima bombs. And with the catastrophic climate changes that followed 65% of all life died out. Does anyone have the CollectA 2017 Deluxe Styracosaurus and any of these CollectA figures (the 2017 Deluxe Deinocheirus, the 2015 Deluxe Feathered Tyrannosaurus, the 2013 Deluxe Parasaurolophus)? Or at least know where I can find dimensions to compare them?

Here are comparisons of the new Safari Triceratops with the previous one, Schleich Pentaceratops and Papo baby Triceratops:

PhilSauria

I was just about to request that someone do a pic of the new and old Safari Triceratops side by side - you read my mind! This model is larger than I expected - which is a good thing for my tastes. Thanks for the images. Can't wait for this to become available locally.

Fortunately, the measures provided by Safari do not correlate with the triceratops model, as other members of the forum say it is quite large and very voluminous, both aspects that I appreciate in the figures of dinosaurs and prehistoric toy animals, even if the scales are eliminated.

What is said would ideally be medium-large dinosaurs except sauropods that should have a larger size eg Safari brachiosaurus or Papo brachiosaurus for two examples.

I do not like small sauropods, except for some that for me are icons of dwarfism like the europasaurus. In that I applaud the old factory of Bullyland.

By the way Safari triceratops I would also like to see it with the Collecta that although the latter is not a good figure (belongs to the dark age of Collecta) is quite large.

..sorry, I don't have enough time to take new comparison pictures of them but you could use my pictures library with my Schleich  1:40 "Hans" for reference (you can download pictures and scale them on computer screen using Hans as a fixed reference)..

Thanks for the pics. That's good enough for me to get an idea.

Anyways, I have some comparison pics of my own of the new models from my Safari Ltd order that arrived today (of the American Mastodon, Ankylosaurus, Sauropelta, Regaliceratops, and Triceratops).

First up is the American Mastodon with the Safari Ltd Woolly Mammoth and Smilodon:

Next up is the Ankylosaurus and Sauropelta:

Regaliceratops and Triceratops:

Last is the group of Hell Creek dinosaurs including the new Ankylosaurus and Triceratops alongside the 2017 Feathered Tyrannosaurus rex, and the Dracorex (minus the new Anzu that I need to get still):

I could have had the older Safari Ltd Triceratops in some of these here, but there's already a comparison between the two, and I also forgot to add it in.

IrritatorRaji

Is anyone able to post pics of the Safari Feathered Rex and Deinocheirus together?

Lanthanotus

Scale bar is divided in 1 cm.... both figures are slightly customized but not changed in height or size.

Nanuqsaurus

I just wish that Deinocheirus was bigger, the sculpt is perfect but why is it so tiny?

Yeah, imagine it in 1:40-1:35, the same sculpt but in that scale, that would be great!, maybe they were not sure if such an unknown species (for the more general public at least) would be a big enough seller to warrant a big figure. But still as tiny as it is, it's my favorite Deinocheirus on the mass market.

Lanthanotus

Well, the CollectA Deluxe is in 1:40 scale and it's very nice sculpt in my opinion (I just own the smaller version tho), but given the measurements provided by CollectA (H 15cm, L 28.5 cm) is is on par with the tyrant, so may also look out of proporation, at least for two "equally" outgrown adults. But yes, i feel the pain, would have loved the Safari Deinocheirus to be considerable bigger aswell.

I think the Deinocheirus is meant to fit alongside the smaller scaled Safari Ltd figures like the Iguanodon, Yutyrannus, etc. Though honestly I have no idea if any of those are even in the same scale. I just display them together alongside my Apatosaurus.

They are in 1:35 scale, the new Ankylosaurus is in that scale too.

Not a fan of this new Safari trike, looks very cheapo. The older version was better, although not a great model per se.
