"Resaurus Carnage & Wild Adventure Dinosaurs"

For this post I will share my 1997 Resaurus Carnage series figures along with their later china made counterparts after Resaurus gave up the molds for the Wild Adventure line. I have a Resaurus Styracosaurus too but it is hiding in my missing box of dinosaurs. I'll edit this post when I find it. The Stegosaurus and Giganotosaurus and Mia Styracosaurus are all original Resaurus models. The Deinonychus, Velociraptor and Tyrannosaurus Rex are all the later Wild Adventure versions. The Resaurus and Wild Adventure varieties are the best quality versions on the market, the third and fourth releases the quality started to fall downhill fast. I find that some of the Wild Adventure figures are better quality than the original Resaurus figures, especially when it comes to their joint pins and molding quality.

NEW ADDITIONS: Original Resaurus "Carnage" Velociraptor and Tyrannosaurus Rex

Still haven't found my original Styraco, but found a better one with a stand! Woot!

Your Resaurus are wonderful!!  ^-^
Usually I don't like articulated dinos but the Carnage line is really great, very well sculpted and painted.
I have only the Styracosaurus ( https://www.flickr.com/photos/130140542@N03/albums/72157656678163174 ).
I found it in UK but without a horn....  :-\
I hope to find the Protoceratops and the Stegosaurus one day. ::)

P.S. The Safari Stegosaurus looks quite similar to the Carnage one..... Who's first?

I didn't even know Resaurus made anything besides the rex and the Giganotosaurus! Those are pretty cool.

I have the Stegosaurus in the UK if you're interested in it. I got most of the Carnage figures a while ago in one lot, but the only one I really want to keep is the Giganotosaurus. (I never got the Protoceratops though)

Ahh the vintage dino love spreads! Hope ya get that stego. He is super gorgeous! Not a huge fan of non articulated dinosaurs here, but these figures are truly superb and the detail is right up there with the static models. The Giganotosaurus is becoming a rather rare commodity these days fetching more that just a few bucks. I never knew they made a protoceratops. I'll have to look for that one! I'm very much a completionist.....

I'd say Safari copied carnage. The Resaurus stego came out in 1997. When did safari release that particular stegosaurus?

I saw your Orsenigo Anky. Super! I remembered when I was younger....  ::)

It wasn't a picture but a Youtube Review about the Carnage Protoceratops.
If you didn't see it, you can go on Youtube and search for " Toyway Protoceratops ReSaurus Carnage Collection Review ".

"Artistic Dinosaur Figures & Classic Windups"

Oh awesome thank you! I can see the image in this reply window and it's pretty awesome looking! I'll have to keep watch for that.

Here's some more dinosaurs, two are current art projects I'm working on.  The first is a Welch's tyrannosaurus sculpture based on the jelly jar dinosaur. I've still got some sanding and paint prep to do before painting it. The second is a vinyl doll meant to decorate yourself. I call him Mr Anky and is based off an ankylosaurus. He is in the drawing phase. I'll add to this post as both projects progress.

2008. So, you know, a photo finish between the two  ;D Lots of bootlegs with that color scheme, too, I assumed they were only copying Safari!

Resaurus was a bit of a game changer in the model dinosaur dept. Safari ruled the roost at the time, and i think these dinosaurs made them up their game as far as detail goes. These dinos looked great then and still do now! Ill start a post on dino riders next. I have a ton of them!

Ok... So my Dino riders are proving to be a little more work than I thought so they're gonna have to wait. I've got some to post that I found in my Dino stash at my moms, and a recent score on the baby brachiosaurus!

"Thunder Beasts by Multi Toy (M.T.) Skykids Inc. 1993"

Thunder Beasts Large Figure Lineup by Archinto, on Flickr Thunder Beasts Lineup (minus the mini dinosaurs)

Heres the first two Thunder Beasts dinosaurs I have ever found out in the wild.

Thunder Beasts Corythosaurus & Euoplocephalus by Archinto, on Flickr

RECENT ADDITIONS: Large: T-Rex, Stegosaurus & Velociraptor, Medium: Callovosaurus, Mini: Dilophosaurus V2 and Struthiomimus V2

I've got a wonderfully nostalgic lot of Thunder Beasts dinosaurs from the early 1990's. These were a hot item on my want list as a child, but was never able to get any back then. They are uncommon but not too difficult to find aside from a few rare figures. I only need to find the small Dimetrodon figure, and the rest of the series 2 mini set (minus pachy, dilopho and struthio) to complete my collection! Lemme know if you can help me out! :)

Large Thunder Beasts These are the largest figures of the line and stand at approximately 18" tall or better.

Large Tyrannosaurus Rex. Heres examples of one thats near mint, and one that is well loved.

If that is a Megalosaurus, I need to get one... are these hard to come by?

Archinto

#37
My thoughts of it being a megalosaurus or possibly an allosaurus are based off old drawings. My thoughts is it looks more like megalosaurus because of the way the body scale armor on his back looks. I can't find any information on this particular line of dinosaurs other than their markings. I remember when they were new on the shelf in 1992 and I NEVER saw that red one ever. He is so weird. They show up every now and then. There was a trade thread here with a raptor and a protoceratops I want oh so bad but not sure if that guy is around anymore. it was a 2012 thread in the trades in classifieds. I've got a spare Corythosaurus and Euoplocephalus that I wish to use as trade fodder to get more that I don't have.

The line those figures are from is called Thunder Beasts and I think the megalosaurus is really a ornitholestes.

Ahhh! Thats what they are, and it is an Ornithosuchus! I'll edit my postings :) Thanks for the info, now I know what all figures came in the line :)

I fixed the Megalosaurus misnomer above. I just scored a real nice Saurolophus today for cheeeeeap! Woooo! I'm excited to get it as its got one of the best paint jobs of the bunch!
