Stuckasaurus (Dino Dad Reviews)

When do we get to see the next batch? Collecta revealed three at a time every few days last year.

Silvanusaurus

I can't say I'm particularly whelmed by these first three, but then I'm never very interested in Ceratopsians, not really sure why. I hope their next reveals are something more exciting, I'm sure they'll have something funky in the works. I'm hoping they'll have at least one British species. It would be nice to see something non-dinosaurian too.

Shonisaurus

As in other years I am one hundred percent certain that the new batch of figures for 2017 revealed the know on Friday 11 October.

It will be a slow trickle of weeks, so we have to have a lot of patience. We will see that this year gives himself Collecta. Safari has set the bar very high very hard to beat this year.

Last year it was 3-3-3-2, every Friday in November. So they're gonna drag it out a little bit.

A few days till the second reveal!  ;D

I'm really anxious to see these! I'm very curious about that teased chasmosaurine :)

I think I might get this Einiosaurus too. So happy that "forgotten" ceratopsians are being made into figures.

The latest new model introductions from CollectA as promised, a chasmosaurine plus a new 1:40 Deluxe Deinocheirus and a marine reptile.

Full details and pictures in this article: New CollectA Models (part 2)

Everything Dinosaur expects all these items to be in stock end Feb, possibly early March 2017.

Nice Regaliceratops, the colours really suit it. still hoping for Anchiceratops and Arrhinoceratops in the future.

So TWO Kronosaurus this year. Funny for Collecta to do a Kronosaurus so soon after their Pliosaurus.

I didn't even notice the deluxe Deinocheirus at first, it looks exactly like its smaller counterpart.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

I think a Regaliceratops will be among them mysellf.

Congratulations, you win the internet!

New calculations because i'm bored:
Regaliceratops ≈1:44
Kronosaurus ≈1:35 - 1:41
Deinocheirus ≈1:39

Aieeeee!!!! I'm so happy! This is shaping up to be the best year ever!!! My only sore point is... how can I possibly find the money to buy all the wonderful figures my favorite companies are producing?!?!?

I'm glad I hadn't gotten around to buying the smaller Deinocheirus yet... it'll be nice to have a properly sized individual! The Regaliceratops looks like it has an overly-elongated muzzle, but I really like it anyway!

My opinions:

Regaliceratops: Flawless, sculpt is amazing, colors and pattern are amazing, I will be getting this figure no doubt.

Kronosaurus: This figure looks really good, I like the articulated jaw, and the teeth. The colors are very similar to the old Schleich Krono, which is fine, think of it as an "upgraded" Schleich Krono. ;)

Deinocheirus: Looks the same as the smaller one, except the tail is a bit lower in the deluxe. But its a good figure, so I'll be getting it.

A replacement Deluxe Deinocheirus! I didn't see that coming. I hope this means that CollectA is not as averse to replacing outdated models as they seem to have been up to now.

Gotta have the Regaliceratops, happy to have a less well-known genus based on a very nice skull.

@Appalachiosaurus: The Kronosaurus is really 1:35-1:40-ish? That surprises me, I would have guessed it around 1:20. Either way, it's a tough call between this one and the new Safari. It never rains but it pours--lots of overlap this year between their offerings.

is the Deinocheirus an exact same pose/color as the older one but just in an upsized version? (too lazy to make my own comparison).
OOPS: i just saw the ED article and there's a comparison.

i hope CollectA makes a Rubeosaurus in the future (if they dont think it is too similar to Styracosaurus)

Finally, a big Deinocheirus! I really need one of those in my collection.

Well, they're releasing a Kronosaurus, which is similar to Pliosaurus, and they made a Torosaurus which is similar to Triceratops. Plus this is CollectA we're talking about, not Safari, so we shouldn't have to worry about species not being made because of similarity. (No offense to Doug and Safari, who make amazing models. ;) )

Impressed with the species of ceratopsian chosen, the sculpt itself is rather...well its a pass for me sadly.
I do have a question regarding the Deinocheirus model however.....im not that savy on theropods and feathers so some help here...are the primaries where they should be on this one or should be down onto the digits of the hands themselves? I have seen people hammer some of the other theropods for that issue and I notice this one has the feathers starting below the hands as well....help please?

WOW! The kronosaurus might very well be my first deluxe ColleectA figure, IMO it's much superior to Safari's offering this year.
Definitely getting the regaliceratops. But why are all of it's toes painted with nails/claws/hoofs? Shouldn't the two outermost fingers be nail/claw/hoof-less?
The deluxe deinocherius is a nice offering, but I think it's pose could've been more interesting and less like it's smaller counterpart

The Kronosaurus is excellent!
