The Lost World electronic "Snap-Jaw" Velociraptor still needs a review, right? I completely forgot about reviewing it last summer, my apologies! I'd love to work on a review for it, if it still needs one, though!

Side note: Is anyone lined up to review the new Mattel Super Colossal T. rex? I have one coming in the mail, and would be happy to review it. Let me know, and I'll start a write up!

I'm afraid someone else has already submitted a review of the T. rex. However, I believe you are in possession of a number of JP toys that are presently without reviews, and some Tyco ones too!

Ok, no worries, looking forward to seeing the review~

I do have some of the Chaos Effect ones that are listed, but none of the others, besides the electronic raptor. I'll have to see what's missing in Tyco, too.

Since this year's line of Jurassic World toys are so numerous, not to mention the different lines, perhaps the reviews for the entire Jurassic Park franchise could be divided up further. I understand that this is already a complex group of toys & figures, since each film has different items produced by different companies. For example, currently under the group heading "Jurassic Park" you have toys from the first three films, in addition to the T-rex vs Indominus Gift Set (http://dinotoyblog.com/2016/09/13/tyrannosaurus-vs-indominus-jurassic-world-limited-edition-gift-set/). And now of course, with the new film coming out, Mattel has outdone itself with not only species exclusive to JW:FK, but also releasing the Legacy Collection line, which includes species from previous films! BTW, I also noticed that this year's Action-Attack Stego was grouped under the Jurassic Park title.

So my suggestion is for the toy reviews for figures that were released with a particular film, should be grouped under that film's title. For example:

  • Jurassic Park (all toys released 1993-1995)
  • The Lost World (1996-2000)
  • Jurassic Park III (2001-2014)
  • Jurassic World (2015-2017)
  • Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018+, including Legacy Collection)

Yes, one could argue that some of the Legacy Collection figures could retro-grouped to the films they feature, but grouping them by release years could, for those not as savvy with toy lines as others, help people ascertain which figures are "old school / vintage" and which are contemporary. Of course, the packaging helps. Another example with the Legacy Collection line is that it still carries the Jurassic World logo (not Jurassic Park). These were not figures released in 1993 or 1996, and have suddenly become available. They are simply a new company's take on the same characters, and (for better or worse) designed differently.

This is just a suggestion, mind you, but I have been kicking it around for a bit as we all have been waiting for these new toys to be released. Any thoughts?

Adam has stated that he doesn't want the list of companies to become too lengthy. I think the blog is better off with just the JP and JW pages.

Would Kenner/Hasbro and Mattel possibly be better down the road (assuming they have more in store for the following years)? As of now, the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World pages are the only ones that are on the list, but not technically companies. Although I suppose that would be a hassle to merge all the Hasbro JW stuff with the other page. Although it could also make sense to have a page for Mattel too in the sense that they do have the license for Dino-Riders, and could be making products for that in the future.

Yeah, under the current dropdown menu format. I recently made Safari Ltd sub-categories in the dropdown menu, and could potentially do this for JP, to avoid making the dropdown menu a mile long.

The electronic Velociraptor has been scratched off the list!

Bonebreaker sent. Demon is next, along with the baby, the card, the JW one if nobody has done it yet, and the new Terra electronic one.

suspsy

The JW Carnotaurus has already had a submission. Looking forward to the Demon review though. Don't forget the JP electronic Baryonyx too!

Yowzer, this is one for truly dedicated fans at this price, but it looks pretty spectacular! A diorama depicting the iconic T. rex breakout scene in the original JP by Iron Studios:

My son just got the 15-pack of Battle Damage Minis from Walmart. Could I do a review of the whole set?

suspsy

Wow, there's still a heap of toys still be to be reviewed!
